Convertible top problem

Ok to start off i like to thank everyone here on the forums great job guys.

I got this 88 convertible rx7 the top worked great all summer. The top leaks a little bit but i had no issues on the working aspect, i mean it went up and down when i wanted it too.

Today i got in it and it got a little hot so i wanted the top down. I hit the *** in the dash and i hear beeping then it stops but nothing happped. Did the motors go out already with no signs or is there a electrical problem to the motors.

thanks for looking and any info is helpful.

try the fuse on the driver's side dash(under it)
the fuse is called soft top.
Did you try to help the roof go back at all, like give it a little nudge?..mine needed that every once in awhile to get it open and closed.

Mine does the same thing.
It beeps, and I think I can hear at least one of the motors but the top wont retract. Idk what the issue is.
If you find the solution make sure you post it!

Ok its working again. Idk what i did i tried to open it and everything started to work fine. I think it is water getting on to the wires because the top leaks a lot and it probably was causing a lot of resistance so nothing was working after driving it i think it dried up and everything started to work again.

Mine had some oxidization on the fuse.I changed that and it worked.
The microswitches on the motors can stick a bit too.
