clutch problem?

hey guys, i have an 86 rx7 gxl and i was driving it the other day, at first i noticed that the clutch pedal was sticking a little bit when i was releasing the pedal. But it got worse and eventually when i pushed the clutch in, the pedal went all the way to the floor and stayed there. When i pulled the pedal out, i could start the car without the pedal being pushed in. If i tried to put it in gear, the gears would grind. Is it the clutch? the master and slave cylinder? or something else in the tranny?

Check fluid levels.

Though you'll probably find a bad cylinder. Best be is to replace both the master and slave cylinder, along with the hydraulic hose that connects to the slave.

FL lost pedal pressure

most likely you lost your slave cylinder, or the master cylinder, like the guys said also you may want to replace the hose for a new one, old ones tend to leak and expand causing pedal pressure loss, use dot 4 brake fluid, and dont drive the car like that, u will mess up the clutch if it was good or mess up the tranny grinding gears, good luck bud.

There is no linkage, only a lever in the bellhousing. It has been known to pop off but that's rare.

My guess is leaking slave or master cylinder. I just replaced mine for the same reason. It could be leaking lines but that isnt as common.
