VT Bee hive

I like the look of the Bee hive cooler, but it looks like it has been leaking for a while....not too suprising. Is this something that can be rebuilt or is it a replacement issue?

Generally it's not the cooler that leaks, but the o-rings that seal it to the engine and/or pedestal. It's a common problem for the two little o-rings to harden up over time and start to weep. Pull off the bee-hive and replace the o-rings.

Better yet, replace the bee hive with a real oil cooler. Mazda got cheap with those years of cars. Eventually they went back to a real oil cooler. Supposedly due to problems with those. That is one of the first mods to be made on those cars.
