Anyone ever had this problem?

Its very rare, but one of my turbo fc's will cut out when turning hard left, almost like a fuel cut or starvation. I thought maybe this was from fuel being low and pump not being able to get the fuel so I filled it up and did the same thing. As far as I understand, the fcd should be protecting the engine from the ecu cutting fuel which makes me think there is something going on with the connection in the pump itself. I have checked the wiring as well, fuses, relays, anything I can think of. I even went through and cleaned up the grounds and added some to the chassis.

Any thoughts?

When this happens it is usually a sign to change your fuel sock on your pump in the tank.It is clogged.

There is also a baffle in the tank and it can come loose and cause a problem similar to yours.

I guess I am pulling out the pump then and checking.

I may as well put a new pump in, any suggestions outside of walboro or supra?

Also, any idea if this could affect mileage at all?

You can go with a Walbro or more,BUT you should change the stock Fuel pressure regulator too,and that means altering the fuel rails. You need to adjust the pressure so that it won't create any more problems. The New pump will over-run the stock FPR and create havoc.
Usually when tossing on new aftermarket parts,it isn't just ONE..it's like a SET of stuff that is involved to get everything working effectively.

The car has aftermarket rails, lines, and fpr right now, I had two walbro die so I am trying to avoid them all together since the car is used as a commuter car now.

I have heard the FD pumps are a little better than FC ones, is this true and would it be worth it to run one? Remember this is on an almost stock t2 FC

Fd pump is ok but you may want more downt the line.

Have you looked at the Aeromotive 340?

Yes but for now really trying to stay as "Oem" as possible. Just a little better than an FC pump while its in street car mode for the winter.
