Acceleration.

ok i just got a 89 NA with an automatic transmission(should be a sin). i'm curious around what the 0-60 acceleration should be. currently i'm running about 11.5 which is horribly slow. engine had the dreaded pulsing idle which i managed to fix and gain a little more power. ps: fixed with overhaul of vacuum lines and finding that the throttle wasn't closing all the way before i timed it. Anyway this is what i have done so far:
New ignition cables
New belts
Checked coils .6 leading&trailing a->b 16.5k ohm l1-> l2
TPS adjustment according to FSM
Got the throttle to loosen up close/open smoothly
New fuel filter
New air Filter
adjusted idle to 750
Timed spot on, following FSM
cleaned spark plugs(ran out of money lol)
did an audible compression test. (i know not 100% accurate but it sounded good and both rotors sounded identical
)
Replaced all rats nest vacuum lines
replaced vacuum lines coming off the water thermo valve running to double throttle diaphragm
one of the lines coming from thermo valve does have a vaccum leak but it doesnt seem to be affecting anything. (broken delay valve) and cant get to it without taking throttle body off.
Checked codes(17 feedback)
checked o2 i swear its brand new.
so cleared codes because i know the guy did some work before selling it to me see if 17 comes back.
driven for 1 week 17 has not returned
checked codes 12 TPS stuck at 20% did all stuff above tps idle timing and code went away without clearing.

ok after fixing all of this engine sounds really good feels smooth. no idle problems seems to be running extremly well. no hesitation no vibration purs HOWEVER 0-60 11.5s something cant be right. i know the auto eats up alot of power but is it really this much? my friends stock FB thats been sitting kicks my ***. tried low 2 Drive and yah 12seconds tried 2 drive 11.5 seconds. passes CA smog which is amazing but it does. one thing to note that seems weird is when throttling initially even just barely touching it there is a loud clank then it accelerates figure its coming from tranny. 800-3000 theres just nothing feels like im taking off in 3rd or something and seems half pedal gives me more go juice than WOT. anyone got any tips or is this normal accel for the fc NA auto trans?

second unrelated question. I have a S5 t2 jdm engine in the garage been sitting for about 2 years poorly stored forgot it was there and oil leaked out of it. i have not turned it or anything. pulled the spark plugs out of it today hoping they presevered well (were brand new when engine went into garage). the plugs were rusty on the tips does this mean the rust has gotten into the engine i know there alum and chorm internally but rotors tend to be steal so what are the chances of this engine still being viable after such a long period? im praying the engine isnt shot because of my dumbass.
