accel pump shooter (nozzle) size ?

I have a 600cfm chokeless holley on a racing beat intake. the current size on the shooter is ground off for some reason so i am trying to find out what size others are using with success on their 600 holley setup? if i had to guess i would say it resembles a straight bodied 25 size.

All carburetor's operate a little different atmospheric pressure has a lot to do with carburetor adjustment .. The only purpose of your accel. nozzles is to take away the bog on acceleration mostly rapid acceleration start small and work your way up (( there are quite a few different nozzles )) until you have no hesitation on throttle demand and that is all there is to it .. Kinda hard to set yours up by what other people do .. .Also a holly carburetor does not work proper if you lean the air screws out to much.. If you listen to the carb while adjusting ..it will almost tell you when it is happy .. set it up with the air screws just a little high of the idle you want 50 to 75 rpm then drop back with the idle screw to where you want it that way you won't have to play with it every second day or so as the barometer changes as it keeps the air pressures inside the carb more stable.. I hope this helps and doesn't confuse you ..

Pulled a plug and fuel level check plug on the bowl

Well the spark plug was pitch black. rich much!? so i check my fuel pressure Gage. 6 PSI. then i pull the viewing port on the primary fuel bowl (with accessory power on, fuel pump on). and notice that fuel is continuously seeping out. so in my completely non professional opinion. either i have to turn down the fuel pressure reg a smidge cause it's overpowering the needle in the bowl. (just a guess) OR i need to take apart the bowl and make sure that the float is engaging the needle at all. (and actually stopping fuel). any suggestions?

That carb shouldn't really need 6 psi if your not driving hard with full acceleration you could drop it back a bit ..maybe 2 psi but if the fuel is running out the level screw adjust the float so that it stops, just loosen the nut and turn the screw until the fuel level drops just below the level hole .. To be effective this needs to be done with the engine running at idle and take your time because the fuel doesn't drop right away just because you turned the screw give it time to burn the extra fuel and catch up.. put something under the float check hole just to absorb anything that spills out . There are so many things that could be wrong , also check all the linkage making sure everything works freely and make sure the secondary plates are closed all the way,on idle ,,, ( I,m not sure how the intake works on a rotary but I am pretty sure the secondaries need to be closed tight on idle ) If none of that helps take your bowl off and check to make the needle and seat are ok there could be something tiny stuck in it.. Don't use compressed air on the parts until you are sure your not going to blow something away... Also if you think that it is getting fuel through the accelerator nozzles there is a tiny ball in the pump chamber that holds fuel from returning to the float chamber if it is stuck open it could suck fuel through the acc nozzle but you would see it weeping at the nozzle .. try that ..

if removing the sight plug in the bowl allows fuel to dribble out, it's not the fuel pressure, it's the fuel level. the adjustment is right on top of the bowl, just lower it alittle. leave the pressure set at 6psi. that plug is just an indication it's running rich. common for a holley. not sure of the shooter size on mine but it doesn't look like urs. if ur having problems that lead u to believe it's in the acc pump, it may just be the cam is worn down.
