94 FD3S Clutch Issue?

Well today i did something stupid well i think, my battery was really low and it wouldn't start so thinking all awesome like i was like hmm lets do a rolling start..... so i put it in first gear i am rolling down a hill at about 2 1/2 mph and i drop the clutch, nothing happens.... WTF? Then my dad finds the jumper cables and just starts the car in 30 sec... i was trolled but i was happy until i tried to put it in first... put it in first and all i hear is the clutch spinning. does any one know anything that could keep me from buying a new clutch this Christmas. any help is awesome! thanks

That wasn't stupid and it didn't kill your clutch, I'm pretty sure.

I don't know on FD but on the FC there is a little hole under the clutch to control it. You can check here if the problem is a bad disc or if the pressure plate doesn't press enough.

If the problem is with the pressure plate, it can be 2 things: a jammed operating cylinder or the adjustment of the clutch pedal..

Well I think i figured it out.... I'm pretty sure i stripped the spline on the transmission, because I still have pressure on the clutch anyone know the price to rebuild a FD transmission? Any answers help!

I haven't heard of many people stripping the input shaft splines. There is probably a good chance that it is something simplier like a clutch disk problem. But a trans rebuild is a possibility if you are getting input shaft movement into the trans and no output or actually have stripped the splines. You can remove the bellhousing inspection plates, drain the trans and remove the bottom cover and start spinning things around, see what turns and what doesn't and be able to diagnose the problem.
