i recently purchased a 1988 rx-7 (13b), project car, i am totally new to the rotary world, so know that i may sound like an idiot. that being said. my rx-7 will turn over, but it will not start, i checked the spark plugs and wires and they all look great, i do not know much about this car's history, but i do know that it has been sitting for 2 years or more. i also know that it was regestered and inspected in 2005, one more thing is that the wiring harness is not installed properly, the wires have been cut and re-spliced back together, i do have a new harness that i am installing, but i am unsuer if the car should be able to start with out it.
thanks

Its probably flooded. To de-flood it first making sure your battery has a full charge, take out your spark plugs, then turn the key for about a minute, then put new spark plugs, or at least clean the old ones, reinstall them, and it should start. It could also be other problems, like low compression, no spark or no fuel like farberio said, but I would try what i said, of course first checking if it has spark.

i recently bought a t2 it sat for a few years and i had major fuel issues the gas had jelled and plugged everytning up make sure you check your pump, pump filter and inline filter and make sure you drain any remaining old gas, there's a a drain plug in the bottom corner of the tank as far as wiring good luck with that may you have success
