87 rx7 t2 3rd gen mod
Hi, All!
Quick Intro:
From Maine; Currently modding a 87 t2 with a 93 3rd gen tt. This is my 3rd rx7 and im prepared to do whatever to make this Frankenstein eat up the streets. As it sits, the engine mounts have been modified to accommodate the different mount pattern, wiring harness and ecu have been connected and all basic components under the hood are a go(hasn't been fired up yet, though). I installed a racing approved roll cage ($1500) for safety and looks. The interior is almost non existent but it has seats and all the gauges (speedo, tach, oil/engine temp, boost, battery, oil pressure, etc.) the interior is unimportant to me anyways right now; interior parts are easily found (its kind of nice not having the storage compartments in the back but they do make good sub/speaker housings. The stock t2 rear end is untouched, a single stainless steel 3" high flow exhaust system purchased from mazdaspeed ($1200) was installed and the stock removed, stock tt replaced with a single greddy t04 turbo; completely new turbo kit installed (almost 2k invested), stock radiator and oil cooler from 93 (replacement suggestions?). As of now, the only thing stopping me from completing this project is mounting the transmission. As ive said, this is a 87 t2 body and a 93 tt engine and tranny. Through all of my searching, ive come to the conclusion that i must custom fab this but im kinda clueless as to the set up/ execution in making this properly; any one out there that can maybe give me a schematic that has worked with this setup or some general knowlege to be known before i do something i regret? i could have used the stock t2 tranny but it needed work and why not use a tt tranny.. it is a project car. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.
Wow, your post is a pain in the *** to read. Ever hear of paragraphs?
Which car exactly are you modding? The 2nd gen or the 3rd gen?
I don't see any mention of an ECU or fuel system. That would be important.
Spend some time reading the FAQ threads as there is lots of good info in there.
