87 NA with 170K...life left?
I am the original owner. Mechanical care has been excellent. Oil changed religously at 3K. Never had an engine issue and still runs great. What should I expect in the near future? I still love driving the car and it obviously has been good to me.

If you've been taking meticulous care of it in regards of the motor, you shouldn't have a big problem in the future. Especially if you don't beat on it. Obviously it wouldn't hurt to rebuild it with that many miles, but if it's not giving you grief now I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Longevity
I've been told that with good maintenance the motor should last over 250. That said, I have been meticulous with the maintenance on mine (13b) and just blew the water seal at 150.
Cheers.

I got 250,000 out of my '87, but I really drove the s*(t out of it. I was the second owner and usually changed oil at 10 to 12k miles. Might sound a bit abusive, but it ran like a top for a quarter million miles. Would've probably passed 300k if'n I'd taken care like you.
