86 S4 NA cranks and starts but dies immediately
So I'm trying to get my S4 running after it was sitting for a couple months, and when I go to start it up, the engine cranks over and starts fine, but as soon as it seems to switch over to the ECU the engine just stalls out. Before it was left sitting, the only issue the car had was that it liked to stall out in reverse (only in reverse) if I wasn't modulating the throttle to keep it running. Otherwise, it ran totally fine. I can provide a video if necessary, but I'm not totally sure where the issue lies? My first inclination would be to deflood, and if that doesn't work, check the fuel injectors. I tested the MAF already according to the FSM, and the resistances were all in the correct ranges. Are there any other issues I should consider, or anything glaringly obvious I'm missing? It's worth noting that while this isn't my daily, it is the first car I'm working on myself, so I'm still not great at diagnosing issues just yet.

I haven't had the chance to check for vacuum leaks yet because I'm in the middle of exams, but I figure that's certainly a possibility. As far as the throttle, no it still stalls out whether or not I give it any throttle. That might indicate faulty injectors or flooding, no?

i suppose a problem with the injectors is still open, but they are usually an all or nothing affair, so i don't know. maybe something computer related???
my thought against flooding is the fact that you're able to start it over and over again. if it were flooded, you'd likely have had to deflood it, or at least change the plugs by now.
do you still have the cat(s) in place? another thought i had is maybe one of them collapsed and is blocking the exhaust flow. that might be something else you can check.
