85 GSL-SE hanging hose

I've looked at the FSM and just cannot figure out where this hose is suppose to connect on this end. Car is an unmolested 85 GSL-SE. The disconnected end can be seen near the bottom of the photo resting on the charcoal filter. This picture is from the right (passenger) side just behind the strut tower. You can see the hose go through a retainer and disappear behind the intake manifold. I can't see where the other end connects. The second picture is as close to the clamp as it goes behind the intake. I cannot blow into the hose, I did not try to pull any vacuum with my mouth. The car is not idling all that smoothly and I am hoping hooking this up might help that. I have it plugged with a bolt but that doesn't seem to make any difference to the idle.

If someone could look at theirs and tell me where that is supposed to go I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.
