83 GSL Exhaust swap
Hey guys, I'm looking for some help! I just swapped out my stock exhaust system (on an 83 GSL Cali) with an aftermarket one I got off another car (79). The "new" one has no manufacturing stamps or identification that I can find. I consists of a header, two presilencers and the muffler. Everything seemed to bolt up fine, though it seems to hang a little low. The problem is that it now smokes like crazy where it didn't smoke before. I only ran it for a few minutes. The smoke seems like oil as if my motor is shot. Could it be that there is just something in the new system that needs burnt off? I can't imagine that the old system could have been plugged enough to stop all that smoke. Thanks for the help!

Problem solved.
My car stopped smoking! Must have just been from being jacked up at 30 degrees for 2 days! That crossed my mind at first but it kept smoking for soooo long.
