79 rx-7 drift project
i have a 1979 mazda rx-7 that has had many hands under the hood before me. im very new to rotary engines so im trying to learn more. i noticed the oil injectors are not hooked up so im running 2 stroke oil threw it the little pump thinger on the bottom of the engine that hooks up to the carb has been rigged up not to pump oil into the engine basically they took on hose and ran it to both ports. its now leaking from that linkage. can i take that off and put a block off plate there? also the car doesnt seem to want to rev above 6k. its a stock 12a. the vaccum secondaries are not hooked up and i cant figure out wich port they go to anyone have a diagram of the cab. there is suppose to be a bunch of vaccum solenoids under the hood but that was removed as well so my plan was to directly hook it to the distributor. the car is gutted now and has nothing in it besides racing seats a wheel and a tach. i bought a pace setter header and i just plan to run a strait pipe and demp it out the side will that be ok or will i need some back pressure. if anyone has done anything as far as difting with these cars what suspension set up do you use as well as rim choice. i welded my diff up to get it to slide better thanks for your time.
