either way i said it may be wrong but i have lsd, on the up and up i have 2 L7 kickers in a custom box and together they weigh quite a bit, it wouldnt be a problem ditching the system besides the fact that it cost more than i payed for my car, 500 dollars a sub and the amp is around 400, not to mention it cost 300 worth of materials and time to make the custom box, (which is only made to fit into a fc rx7) and its nessacery since i go to bass wars and what not with it, its why ive been conteplating the fd alt... but not good with switching pullies.

yea i did some searching and i do ahve a gxl but u no how my interior was red and blue when i got it, well i talked to the guy who owned it before the guy i bought it from and he said he traded all the broken parts from his car to my car, and i realize now why i ahve washer fluid in the back by the spare is because he switched his back hatch with my back hatch, hope he didnt swap the rear end as well. since i have dual back storage bins with locks, and i ahve electric windows, the good door panels, tilt steering, power steering, and alot of the gxl options minus the window wiper on back since he took it for hiself and gave me his no wiper hatch..................

You can tell if you have a GXL by an auto adjusting suspension button below your shifter surround area and before your arm rest. There are two little rectangles, one of them would have the button in there but if not then you don't have a GXL. I really couldn't be sure that you do or don't have an LSD though. Someone could have swapped one in if the car didn't have it from factory. Yeah you can get a little power from adding an s5 intake, you should get the lower and upper ported bigger, along with the throttle body openings where the butterflies are to get some more air flow. Bridge port is what I am doing too whether I stay N/A or do the Turbo2 swap. Definitely get new rims lol and I would ditch the audio other then 1 sub. It still will sound good and youll get rid of like 85 lbs of ****.

All he did was switch the hatch to a wiperless one, I had a GXL like a year or two ago. It was ******* nice, I should have kept it but I sold it. Now I have a base model that needs A LOT of work but its almost done. Almost...

One of the previous owners probably replaced the struts and springs with ones that aren't compatible with the A.A.S. If you can find struts that are compatible with that option they are most likely more money over other struts that don't have that option and the struts without A.A.S option are cheaper. So if they replaced the struts and springs at one time thats most likely what they did. It kind of sounds like one of the previous owners made an attempt at weight reduction. The wiperless hatch is the littlest bit lighter but its pointless for weight reduction if he didn't take out the wiper motor and all the other little things that come along with it because thats where the real weight is.
