TX 1985 RX7 help

My name is Mark
I am new to the forum
We just bought a 1985 RX7 and are racing it in the Lemons and Chump car races.
I have a good bit of experience working on American made cars, learned most under the shade tree growing up.
We ran our first race last weekend, I can tell there is a lot I need to learn about the RX7s.
What is the best way to put 14 or 15 inch rims on the car?
We have 3 sets of 13 inch rims but it is too hard to find a good tire.
I looked at a RX7 this last weekend that installed a set of spacers and had Mazda Miata rims (14 inch)

Anyone have any advice, looking to get the car to bite better in the corners

Hopping to pick some of your brains!!!

Thanks for the Help!!

swap the hubs to studded gsl-se bolt pattern and you can find alot more rims. and thus better tires.

Sadly there aren't any good 13" street tires left. We used adapters on our lemons car to go from 4x110 to 4x114 bolt pattern. 4x100 also works. The company that made them isn't around any more, so I'm not sure where you can find them. Make sure they are made for cars since ATV's also use a 4x110 pattern.

Front camber and sticky tires will help with the cornering. And reducing weight.

if i'm not mistaken, i think Diamond Racing gives you some options for wheels that you can get with the 110 mm circle. you can maybe check them out.

Thanks for the info guys,
I have looked at some of the spacers online.
Not real sure I would feel comfortable with the spacers?
I saw a guy with the spacers at the last race, and he stated he was not real sure about them either.
I will check out the wheels from Diamond racing.

Thanks
