15x7 aftermarket wheel Tire sizes
I just got Konig Rewind 15x7 20 mm offset wheels for my 1980 Rx7. I have read through many prior posts on this subject and am still a little confused on the best tire size.
It appears that 205 50 R15 may be the best choice,
Also seen talk about 205 55 R15 and 195 50 or 55 R15
Does anyone have a suggestion or recommendation based on their experience?
My primary concern is there is no rubbing on springs or fenders
Thank you

225 50-15 in back & 205 50 15 in front. The fronts fit perfect no rubbing at all, and the back had minimal rubbing with a heavy passeger. I gently taped the lip on the inner fender, now no more rubbing. Also I have suspension technique 1" lowering springs.

I finally got tires and wheels mounted. With regard to the tires here is what happened. Ordered Kumho 205/50/R15 although found out in this size was no longer made. Got 205/55/R15 and tire was just touching the front springs. Dealer (Discount Tire) had a 195/55/R15 in same tire, so I went with that. No touching the front spring. I am pleased with this tire. The 205/50/R15 should fit as per other members, although make sure the manufacturer still makes this. Online Discount Tire showed available but in actuality, it was not.
Also, having trouble getting hubcentric ring that fits. FYI the measurement for this wheel and 1980 RX7 is OD 73.1 ID 59.6 There is a small slope on the hub which is not allowing this to lay flush. Still working on this.
