KS 13BT Engine Build Info

I Have a '91 Rx7 with an N/A Motor. For about the last four years ive had a '91 13bt engine sitting in my warehouse with tranny intact. I would like to swap the turbo motor into my Rx7. Before I perform the swap I would like to build the turbo motor. Where is a good starting point for building an engine with around 400 rwhp? I know the engine would benefit from a mild street port. Oh and What seals can I reuse if I crack the case and port it?

I may behoove you to do the swap first and then build it. It's typically easier to chase swap problems with a stock engine than with a built one (this goes for any swap). Also, look for the Factory Service Manual (FSM) online. It's a google search away and is in seperate .pdf files for the various sections. The motor section will give you all the specs you need, including measurements/inspections for various seals and gaskets. I hope this helps.

Here is a great FREE 13B rebuild video (This applies to 13BT's also): Aaron Cake's 13B rebuild video

400RWHP?

I might be missing a few things... But I suppose this would be a basic outline:
- Street port
- 800cc primary fuel injectors / 1,600cc secondary fuel injectors
- Aftermarket FPR
- Custom fuel rails and lines
- Bosch .044 fuel pump
- High flow exhaust system
- Standalone ECU
- Wideband AFR gauge
- Garrett GT35R turbo
- 45mm external wastegate
- Custom turbo manifold
- Boost gauge
- V-mount intercooler set-up
- Custom air box with ducting
- Complete TII drivetrain
- Wider wheels and tires
- Great suspension set-up
- All new bushings

1) He's not talking about turboing his N/A engine. He has a 13BT (TII engine) sitting around. He mentions that in his post.

But if you're asking for your own benefit... I have no experience turboing an N/A. Here's a good link: Aaron Cake's: (Almost) Complete Guide To Turbocharging The Naturally Aspirated Second Generation RX-7

2) I've not seen one... If there is an automatic TII, I'd assume it would be pretty problematic.

^ Straight from Karack's keyboard. (He performs dowel pinning at Rotary Evolution of Las Vegas.)

Here is an engine he dowel pinned. This is a great example:
