13b idle and running problem *with video!*
#1
Hey guys, I have a FC Rx7 running 13b bridgeport turbo with microtech ECU. Had the engine rebuilt (april this year) by a reputable builder. After this the car then sat around at my house for a few months, would start it once in a while for a quick run - it would take a few seconds to fire and then needed 'feathering' on the throttle until it warmed up a bit and then would run fine at 2k revs.
About 2 months ago I bought it down to my dads shop where it has sat around and barely been ran but my dad has given a quick run once or twice other than that its just sat around. I had the clutch/flywheel replaced while it was down here by the mechanics next door a couple weeks ago.
Anyway I came down today to give it a run and test the clutch out finnally. Took about 10-15 seconds to fire after turning the key and like before would run rough at low revs and needed feathering on the throttle to keep it from cutting out, only this time after its warmed up it still dies when you take your foot off the accelerator. I took it for a run up the road, on deacceleration there is no "pulsing" like usual when its running properly and would still die if you dont keep the revs up.
I took the plugs out, all dirty, gave them a good clean but this hasn't done anything. Any suggestions??? would be MUCH appreciated, im still new to rotaries.
*edit* added video of display unit while im starting, giving it a few revs and then letting foot off.
vacuum leak? display unit is reading 0.0 hg, believe this should be able 16 when warm?
also shows tps +99% - im sure i never used to see that there before, potential tps problem?
I went down today, found the below hose has been wedged between the gearbox case and the engine and had split, obviously done when they replaced my clutch.. this hose runs from the throttle body back into the computer which would explain why a 0.0 reading
cut it out and replaced the hose and used a plastic connector from the old hose from the computer back to the throttle body as per below pic
started her up, now had a reading of around 5-8 hg but TPS was still at +99% and it still ran the same.
So yeah prob needs recallibrating. Will text you rotangtang.

I dont know to much about microtechs but I am looking in to geting one. but with the map sencor being hooked up now should help alot you should be able to recallibrate the tps with the microtechs tuning softwere on a lap top.
