Would RB Headers pass NJ inspection??

I am considering getting the Racing Beat "streetable" header/collector. I am wondering if the NJ inspection center would send me home as soon as they see it. I do plan to keep my cat converter of course and MAYBE the pre-silencer, I am not sure if it will fit. If anyone has passed NJ inspection with a similar set-up let me know please. I have a May inspection. Thanks

I passed on my 88 vert with a RB header, hi flo cat, and hks catback. They didnt do a visual inspection but even if they do they dont knwo what they are looking for.

Cool, last inspection I went to they used a mirror to see under the car. The guy also poped the hood and saw around the engine a bit. I passed with my current cat-back system and a generic cat with custom piping. I just don't know if they would pass me with headers. I went to the Secaucus (Hudson County) testing station by the way. Thanks for your input. By the way, how much louder would you say your exhaust became when you added the header?

The visual may be a problem, then again, I dont know how strict they are in Jersey. For the "sniff" test, as long as you have a cat and your emissions system working ok you should pass!
the sound level will go up a bit with the headers but the cat should keep it reasonable.
Good luck,

Locking this thread. People need to keep their mouths shut when it comes to inspection stickers. you will only end up getting someone in trouble, and/or loose your "conections. It is hard enough as is is anymore. Just STFU about who does what and for how much. Thanks!
