Who in Maryland can I take my fc to???

Ok Guys, who in Maryland is the best,I mean who can figure **** out on a fc
that Seems impossible to fix.I have had the same problem with my last 2 motors
and I can not take it anymore. At around 3800 rpm,the car falls on its face.Hesitates,bucks--**** like that--but fine if you do not try to give it more than half throttle. This motor has good compression--so I know the motor is fine and like I said the old motor did the same thing, but took it out after I had the coolant seals go out.
Who in Maryland can fix this or diagnose it--the 2nd gen forum has been no help.
its got to have something to do with the injectors not working right because thats when they should be kicking in.

That being said, Peter Farrell Supercars. I've heard nothing but good things about Ray up there and it's where I'd take my car for work if it had a rotary and I had something I couldn't figure out. I'd try the things listed above though, if you haven't already. Has to be cheaper than paying someone (that would probably do the same things first anyway) and doesn't seem like anything too difficult. Good luck bro.

Ray will do anything you ask him to as long as you have money. If ray works on Supra's, Lexus's, he will certainly work on a FC.

the injectors I had in the other motor were blueprinted and redone, but that didnt help
They started leaking so I used the ones in itos motor--said to be fine.
ground on the wiring harness?--where--all I have ever took apart was put back on,ground under rats nest, ground to firewall to tranny, starter ground---thats the only grounds that I have ever screwed with and put back on.The ecu is the same one I have always had. This never happened untill I changed out the motor.

Roy I would take the suggestion and shoot Ray a call. I am sure that it is something he can figure out. The guy seems to have limitless knowledge and most stuff would probably apply to 90% of cars on the road. I think generally speaking he would steer clear of squeeks and leaks and cheap clients for obvious reasons. If you were willing to pay the pros to get it done right then I am sure it would work out just fine for the both of you.

You can always talk to the man himself.

Sounds like your secondary injectors are not injecting .... below a certain throttle amount, the FC won't turn on the secondaries, so it seems like whenever it is trying to turn on the secondaries, you're having a problem.

I'd suggest checking the wiring and plugs going to the secondaries. Also check the injectors themselves to make sure they still work.

Its got to have something to do with the injectors, but as you know the wirring is not something you can pintpoint a problem with.I am thinking about finding a wirring harness and trying that.Yank the old one out and put another one in.

I would get the wiring schematic and a DVOM and start checking for voltage before yanking out he entire harness.

Does anyone know,if it has to be under a load for the secondaries to kick on,or can I rev at over 3800 to see if they work.I want to see if at least there getting the signal to kick on.

I think this problem has been covered in many places around this forum, you should try searching for 3800 RPM Hesitation. It really does sound like stuck secondaries.

freerevving over 3800 won't engage the primaries...

It should be rather easy to check for continuity from the ECU to the secondary injector plugs... just take one probe of your multimeter and put it on the rotor 1 secondary wire leaving the ECU, and touch both contacts on the other end of the plug under the hood... No continuity means you've found your problem. Do the same thing for rotor 2.

I know you said maryland, but Brett at RP performance knows his FC's like the back of his hand. He used to race them for years.

I know Ray is great w/ the FD and most cars, but Brett is an expert when it comes to the FC. Plus, you can't beat his rates!!

Bret is a good choice at RP Performance, but Ray at PFS should be able to take care of you.

I was impressed with the new shop and the customer service at PFS. Huge improvment since Ray took over.

Sounds like it's time for a V8

(And no, I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just kidding).

Good luck getting it sorted out Roy. If I knew anything about rotaries I'd help you any way I could. Might want to check with Jason (tofuball on here). He's the most knowledgeable rotary guy I know.

Holy ******* ***** ****--sorry
Went to crazy rays, got another ecu,for **** and giggles a main relay and another injector resistor--hooked it all up--same ******* thing--****!
So I started thinking about everything and anything we had done to either motor setups.
The hose that goes to the cat to open the ports has not been on the car since we put the header on.We just capped it off at the motor--hell didn't know if it would be a vucume leak or something.
I took it off--thinking hell maybe -the damn thing stated ideling higher, adjusted the idel to bring it down, took it out--Holy ****,can not be that easy.the car runs perfect, strong as hell.
I still can not believe that hose was causing all this ****.Now all I have to do it put the new injectors in to stop the flooding and I am good to go!
ever heard of such a damn thing

Good for you

I had a weird coolant temp issue, that a couple of guys couldn't figure out. Turns out to be something I SCREWED up, I wired the E fan backwards after replacing the stock radiator with a Koyo one

TWO freaking months, a new waterpump, t-stat, a visit to a shop; and nobody was able to diagnostic the issue!

Now tell us who worked on your car, and wasn't able to fix it
