Ernie, have you ever run at a good track?

You should bring your car up to Maple Grove. It's an NHRA track, the tech is pretty tight, but I'd imagine with a 9 second car you have to deal with scrutinizing tech everywhere you go.

From what I know, the track and the prep are both superb. It has all the bells and whistles that you'd expect from an NHRA track, too.

pleaaaase bring that unholy demon up here! I want to see it run! I want to see your first 9 second run in person!

AFAIK, MIR is closer to him than Maple Grove. And I think MIR is a NHRA track?

Anyhow, I can't wait to see the 9 second pass from you Ernie, good luck with the car.

You'd think that...but google maps shows Mohnton, PA(home of Maple Grove) as being 25 miles clower to Abingdon than Budds Creek, MD(Home of MIR)

And just because you can't see him run doesn't mean you have to spoil it for me!

Agreed, Maple Grove is much closer than MIR. Not to mention I love Maple Grove. For some reason they didn't have any import races this season. MIR has the last race of the season on Nov4 (Imports vs. Domestics) Plus I know the track owner and he doesn't boot me if I run a 9 or over 135mph....I still need to get my competition lisc.

Maple Grove had Grudge Nights every friday, which is basically an open bracket racing night, to my understanding.

Please let me know if/when you come up, because I really want to watch you run.

Also, what do you like about Maple Grove? Besides the dive bar and scenary(I know, my area is beautiful)?

You just answered your question. Very nice area and the track is always in top condition.

I've only seen him run in person a handful of times, and that was when he pushing 64xrwhp, not 7xxrwhp. Still a sight to see. I remember seeing the front tires getting like 4-5 inches of air.

Was 2 years ago I believe? At Imports Vs. Domestics.

What? the crappy little overpriced dive bar doesn't do it for ya?

Seriously though, I'd really like to know if/when you come up here. Like you said, you'll get kicked out after your first run w.o a competition license or roll cage...

Ernie, first and foremost congrats on the hard work. looking real sharp. I would say for next time, don't over rev the engine so hard. I know your adrenaline was pumping, but with the kind of power your making no need to kill the engine so hard.. awesome launch. wish u the best for next time..

Thanks! What do ya mean by over reving the motor? You mean at the line or 1st gear?
TIA,
Ernie
