We just kept running into problems when steve was trying to tune. First we go out to tune, and his battery dies on his laptop. Then we go to pep boys to pick up a power inverter. we start driving again and the inverter wouldnt charge is laptop. So, we go back and try to exchange it. Steve gets stuck in line behind this old guy trying to return some seat covers for about 25-30 minutes while 3 of the pep boy staff start surrounding my car and asking me the dumbist questions. Finally we get on the road with the new inverter, and guess what, that wouldnt charge his laptop either. So we go back to the shop to charge the laptop. charges it up to about 45 percent charge and go out and attempt to tune, as we are driving, my fuel pump ground comes loose and we loose all fuel pressure. ugh. Finally we get back and fix the problem while he tunes another car and charges the laptop back to full. Finally we go out and steve has a bitch of a time figuring injector staging. We finally get done and the car drives great. Thanks again Steve.

ah, I'm finally up and sort of functional again after this weekend. Me and Steve only got a few hours of sleep. That bastard got to sleep on the plane though. I had a good time this weekend, definatley turned out better then I was hoping. Unfortunatley we lost an engine, but hey that happens sometimes.
I just wanted to thank everyone for coming out again. A lot of nice cars showed up and luckily the weather held out and we had a great day.
Rich, you're welcome to come down and chill whenever. We'll have to get a meet together sometime in the near future. You're 421hp beast is going down! j/k, Steve actually said my car didn't feel as fast as it should, so I'm gonna throw it on the dyno and see what it does before I make any decisions. Unfortunatley we didn't make it back to Rotorfest to talk to ya some more, oh well....and I love you too
Austin, Charlie and I had a lot of fun on the ride home....we actually used a highway instead of some two lane highway.
Okay I'm done typing for now (tired) Thanks again everyone, and expect another tuning session to take place in the future

It was a nice silver car. It was more of a freak accident, and possibly had something to do with the way the dyno was loading the car. The motor blew at like 4k rpms and like 5 psi boost. Definately sucked, but hey thats rotary. I lost 2 motors in the last year.

I wanted to thank Dan for hosting this event. It was worth waiting for 3 months.
We should do this kind of stuff more often.
Next year, I will get rid of the High Flow Cat and go with 1600cc. Secondaries.
Dan and Steve.....you guys are the man
P.S. Steve broke my Silvia S15 Nitro Drift Car. So he tuned my real car with 300 more HP

can someone setup another tuning session in the near future,
my car didnt finish tuning.... but its running a lot better now that steve touched it, too bad my fuel pumps seemed to have took a crap on me, they wont make more than 50psi and by 5psi of boost, my car was starting to get dangerously lean, so steve stopped the tuning session, and said he'll continue it next time he's around the area.

Ride home was alot of fun. dan tanking it after that mustang that flashed me then the mazda 6 pulling infront of me and putting his flashers on, then driving by pointing at dan. hmm o well. Hats off to steve for doing an EXCELLENT job tuning my car. Running alot better, as dan knows met alot of cool guys, and saw alot of nice cars.

Austin, I made it to the Air port, I made it home (barley) thanks to Starbucks, and now it's time to go to sleep late...again! I called Steve at like 2 in the afternoon and he was crashed at his house. Looks like I got the **** end of the stick sleep wise haha, o well. BTW, on the highway you seemed to shift a lot sooner then me which leads me to believe you were in 3rd gear and I was in 4th....hmmmm
Martin,
I will try to organise another tuning session by winter if you would like. I want to push my car further as well but either my fuel filter (aeromotive) or my fuel pump is restricting it. I'm gonna get a fuel pressure gauge and see whats goin on. Hopefully my car is making the power it should and Steve was just mistaken.
Just so EVERYONE knows, I'm gonna try to get a cruise together in the next month or so for whoever is interested. Maybe have another cookout at my house, and this time get to enjoy it.

i actually got intouch with steve and told him that i have 5 people lined up (not including myself) and he said he can come back anytime...... so we're shooting for late august so people have time to break their engines in properly.

I know I'll be up for the next meet/ bbq/ cruise. Or atleast I hope!! I originally planned on going Saturday and to Rotorfest on Sunday, but I was soooo broke that I couldn't even afford to think about it!! I was really looking forward to taking my RX down the track!! But considering my engine's on the tail end of being broken in (1400 miles on the new bearings/ about 8000+ miles on all the seals), I just reassured myself that impatience + rotaries = BAD IDEA!!! I also wanted to dial in my AFR's a bit more and change the plugs too.
Kevin's car wasn't ready either. Ever since I got his oil pressure problem fixed, his turbo smokes when the oil pressure gets above 50 psi or so. So he's waiting on the oil restrictor for the turbo (threaded type), before he drives it again. He also blew out a tire a few weeks ago, but fortunately the new tire's here, but has yet to be installed (stupid low-pro tires!!) I also need to replace his wheel cylinder, spark plugs, and he needs to get it to a dyno so I can set up a (fuel) base map (microtech).
Jon's is down and needs another engine, finally.
Bob's has been at a standstill for over a month.

Damn Brian, sounds like all kinds of troubles ova there.
Martin, would you like me to host the tuning session at Car Version 2 again? I would be more then happy to set something up for everyone. I can pretty much set it up whenever you want. I had a great time at this session, and maybe next time we can set up a cruise along with it.
