Well, good luck with it Dave. My pops is selling his Firebird tomorrow. He's not getting alot for it, but more than what he payed for it 7 years ago.

What are you going to do to the Jeep? Lift, motor work, etc.?? We need to hang out again and have a few beers and throw something on the grill.

There is a new Black FD running around Lusby. Saw it yesterday and today. At first I thought it was Josh, but it's got a black R1 spoiler and no carbon fiber hood.

Dave,
Are you going to take your car back to stock? I'd love to buy some of it, but my daughter's wedding is in less than a month and I am up to my *** in bills! What is the AEM thingy, an EMS or something else?

AEM is a stand alone efi system control. Well it does more than just the efi but yes essentially it is the cars computer. I'm staring to have second thoughts about selling my single turbo. Dohh. So close to having the nastiest rx7 in Southern Maryland. The drawn out time frame is messin with my head. I started to look at all the parts and pulled the car out of the cover last night. What to do?..

Put it back together and spend a new fortune on the jeep.
One of these days I have to get a new puter for the car. The 3k hesitation problem annoys the **** out of me.

I'll be listing this stuff in the for sale area in the next week or two after I get my turbo and manifold back from PFS.

WTF you are parting out that phat *** FD? are you MAAADDD? Is it true you will replace it with a CJ7? I think I am going to be ill!

It won't fit different model rx7's without some cutting and welding Matt. Don't worry I think I have just decided to leave the car as it is.

Looks like it's too late to "leave" that car alone. Hope you saved all those parts from it. I am glad to hear you aren't throwing in the towel and getting a Sport Futility Vehicle! =)

It's only called that by some because they attempt to tune it themselves and wind up blowing up motors.

The purple box is a great piggy back for the money. I used one too for close to three years and never broke my motor. Jon called it. It is easy to adjust the timing and fuel with the purple box so a lot of peps start playing with it not knowing what they are doing and break motors.

Got my engine parts to PFS a minute ago.eta apx. Two weeks.

I'm sure I'll want to **** with whatever kind of system I get.
I bought a book on engine management systems a few weeks ago so now I know EVERYTHING. Well I just sort of skimmed it. Ok, I just looked at the pictures, but it's a cool book.

Dave- Let me know also when you plan to throw the motor back in. I will gladly give you a hand, as long as I am free.

Well, the Firebird is sold now, not gonna say what he got for it, but it's gone. We are closer and closer to moving to Illinois.

I let the 7 sit ouside for a couple of days in this little cold spell we're having. I went to drive it last night and I get about 3 miles, sitting at a stop light, and what looks like smoke starts rolling out from under the hood. I pull into FastStop parking lot. It was coolant coming from the turbo side of the engine, but I couldn't see where it was coming from. Tow the car home. This morning I start it up and it does the same thing a little, but then stops. Now it doesn't appear to be leaking at all. What does it sound like to you guys? This engine only has 4500 miles on it and it's never overheated. I'm going to leave it outside again tonight and see if it does it tomorrow morning.

You have an occasional coolant leak? Thats a new one. I would pressure test the coolant system asap.

Yeah, I got rid of it. There was nothing left, and I had NO motivation to pull any more parts off of it. Everything that was left was suspension, hatch, and rear bumper. Also brake stuff. I wish I could've gotten that stuff off, but oh well. No big deal. Next time I part a car out, I am gonna make sure I can completely strip it.
