half bridge port is where you streetport the front plates, and bridge port the rear plates. bridgeport is actually done on both plates. there is a little "bridge" right above the intake ports. as far as the exhaust ports go I don't know what size they would be.
**** it all Dave, go periphreal port! lol

I'm on my blackberry so I can't post a photo of a bridge port. I'll explain. A bridge port is basically an oversized port. But when you go so big you have to skip over the area that the corner seal rides on, otherwise it would fall out of the ROTOR and make a mess. So you leave an area there or a "bridge" for the corner seal to ride on. A full bridge port is when you Port all four faces this way. A half bridge is when you only port the secondary intake ports.
There was an extended thread in nopistons.com In regards to engine porting a few year back from when I originally got into engine porting.

Interesting. Thanks for the explanation. Maybe when this reman blows I'll have it rebuilt and ported. It's only got 3k on it some I'm hoping it will be LONG time until that happens.

dave explained it even further than me...bridgeports have a brap brap brap to it...kind of like a v8 with a nasty cam...just look for video or sound clips of bridgeprted engines...there are a select few who rock the 6port bridgeported engine

Dave I've got to hand it to you; tearing off the weather stripping from the rear of the engine bay made a great improvement. Since I have noticed much cooler air temps (medium M2 smic), and i can get rid of heat soak allot faster. thanks man!
lol So whats going on with our lesson periphreal ported motors? lol

Copying this from a website:
The peripheral port is the ultimate form of porting for a rotary engine without turning to forced induction. Instead of conventional metal shaping with a grinder, the side ports are actually filled and completely new circular - peripheral - intake ports are fitted directly through the rotor housing and is easily identified on an engine by its tubular intake manifold. This modification has potential for over 300hp but as it is developed for racing, results in very poor drivability, fuel consumption and needs an exhaust system designed to produce excessive noise. Like the bridge port, the PP produces its maximum power past 8,000rpm creating increased stress and wear on components.
And instead of idling at around 1,000 ? 1,500rpm for the previous porting methods, the PP engine will not idle much below 2,000rpm and is impractical and virtually unusable on the street.

Whimpy whimpy whimpy, Hefty Hefty Hefty!
Anyway I was going to port the two irons I do have out tonight but when looking close at the center iron. I found the casting was bad on the low end of the coolant edge and there is a crack there. It must have been a coolant seal loss motor Ray took apart and did not notice the crack. I'll have to find a center plate now along with the rear. This is getting to be a pain in the *** gathering these plates.
You should have read this ******* silly guy's PM to me today.
