SCCA Event in Loudon NH

I was wondering if anyone is going to the Solo2 event in Loudon,NH tomorrow. I am going, but just as a spectator ( FC is broken ) I was just courious if there were gonna be any FB's FC's or even FD dudes going. I would love to see some rotories own on the track. Its a time attack course I believe. I don't have any information on it though. I know its only $50- $60 bucks to enter.

Anyways, let me know.

I just learned that its an AutoX/Road Race course. You'll need a helmet snell 90 or newer. Oh they have loaner helmets if you don't have one. For more information I found this....

http://ner.org/

Hope to see some of you guys there!

NER SCCA Solo II Tech Requirements
What should I check before every event?

Floor mats should be removed
Remove all loose items from interior of the vehicle and the glove box
Remove loose items from the trunk, including spare tire and jack if they do not bolt in
Make sure your gas pedal returns after its depressed (throttle return spring)
Step on the brake pedal and hold pressure on it for 10 seconds. Pedal should not depress
Check seat belts and related fastening hardware including your seat
All wheel caps and centers are to be removed unless they are bolted down
Check wheel bearing play in 2 directions
Tighten wheel nuts
Check your gas cap
Battery should be securely fastened down (bungee cords can be an aid, but are
not recommended as the primary fastening device)
Check all fluid levels (oil, brake, clutch, coolant, power steering etc)
Secure all fluid caps (cloth covers not accepted)
Check all engine belts that are accessible (for cracks and tightness)
You should have no fluid leaks of any kind
Doors, hood and trunk lid should fasten securely (please, no ropes)
Do your tires have adequate tread depth (no cords showing)?
Are your shocks set?
Tire pressure set?
Helmet approved with sticker? (Snell 90 or better)
Are your numbers and class designation on the car on both sides?
HAVE FUN!!!!
These items listed above should be checked before the start of every event.
Please see the Chief of Tech (Mark Chessick) if you have any questions or require
instruction on how to perform anything listed above. Instruction will be available at every event.

Drive safe and enjoy the event!!!

They hardly ever cancel an event. They race in the rain and will only take a time out if there is a passing thunderstorm.

Wow, that was awsome. There wern't any FB's FC's or FD's in the autocross event. 2 RX8's were owning the course haha. there were 6 or 7 N/A tuned FC's on the road race course rippin' it up. I saw a sick FD also. He drifted a corner pretty dang good too. I wonder if the FD driver post on this forum? I'm thinking about building an FC or FB up for AutoX. This is what a really want to do. In the future. Have an FB for AutoX, an FC for drift, and a FD for road race/grip driving. That would be sick. There is another SCCA event going on this saterday at Fort Devons Air Base in Mass. Starts at 7:30 am - 4:30/5:00pm. It should be a better course too.Well , anyways I gotta get some sleep now....

At the auto-x, 2 of the RX8s (I was one of them.. the green one with orange numbers) were running on our V710s in the wet.... and one RX8 on Street tires... so it was pretty bad. The AWD/Street Tire guys were kicking everyones collective asses. Not to mention it was pretty cold too. The local FD auto-x driver ran an ST car.... (He posts here so I'm just gonna call him a wimp now.) (Although, that ST car with him driving it *was* faster than the RX8s)

I thought about going back to street tires but it started raining heavier and said screw it... I'll just change them later.

Are you going to come to Devens on the 29th? Don't come to watch, come to play.

Slo, PM Imp for numbers, or check out his site, www.rallydecals.com He'll probably just bring a set to the event so you don't have to get them shipped.

Both of you have black cars? Jesus, thats way too many BB FD's in the Worcester area! My car still isn't running. It would be cool for all three of us to show up together. The good news is that the new motor is already in the car. I've done two days worth of work to the car and waited over two months for parts.

No, I won't be able to make this one. I'd be there if the RX-7 was ready. Black is the best color and the RX-7 is my third black/black car. Its a pain to keep clean but it looks oh so good after a fresh wash or wax.

I figured I'd go insane if I didn't go all out and set up the car like that. I've got a track day at Mosport in Canada on June 12th. I figured this is the most reliable way to set the car up. Its going to need a shake down well before the trip so I will be bringing it to an autocross before then.

Pete

Christian, if you read this in the morning. please call me, i am really not a morning person, and i dont want to sleep in.

Pete, i must say, ive never been a huge fan of the LS1 swap (i can explain later) but youre car is just insane. i would love to come by and see it sometime (shameless invite). i'd also love to pick you, your dad, and your brothers brains for ideas with my rally car. sorry you cant make it, but i hope to see everyone there. again look for me, ill be there in a Brilliant Black RX-7. Should be a great time, and due to my LSD and suspension i wont be racing. Now that i've got her boosting properly, i really dont want to break anything, yet anyway.
