I welded the rx8 brackets to the rx7 brackets in the drivers side cutting the rx8 brackets to go on top of the RX7 ones still using the RX8 rail to move back and forth. In the passenger side I couldnt use the RX8 bracket just used the RX7 one to move back and forth. Its a pretty easy conversion. just mock it up a few time. Sorry I couldnt help much but Its easy if u got a welder.

Weld or fabricate, but not swap rails and bolt on

If you don't get it done take it to Brian at Speed1 right there in Allentown he has set in his FC and has fabbed up a few for other people also. He is currently finishing my Turbo FB ( his wiring is excellent ) and I have no way to fab exhaust or intercooler piping

Finally did the conversion myself and I have to say that it looks great and they feel real good. It wasn't a hard job but it takes time and patience. It toke me around 7hrs to get it done but I did it and I'm happy. I toke the rx7 rails apart and did some welding to the rx8 seats, also I had to grind off the the ones from the rx8 seats. The hard one was the passenger side due to it was to low on one side and it looks crooked so I had to weld a metal piece to make it even. Also had to remove the seat belt bracket because the one from the rx7 does not clips to it. Now all I need to do is the wires for the power seat. I want to thanks all you guys that gave me some tips to getted done and I will post some photos later.

Man that looks really clean. Did you lose any head clearance by doing the custom rails? I'm 6'2 and Im already near rubbing my head on the roof as it is. Don't wanna be catching bugs in my bangs
