My mapquest directions show heading up 287N (I am exit 35) for 32 miles, so I am sure we will pass 7girl's exit.

7girl, is there some good meeting place/parking lot right off of the exit? We can call ya when we are there or somethin.

Dude just hop on the turnpike SOUTH to exit 10 take 287 N , you could go 80+ on the turnpike and the cops won't mess with you, it might take 30 mins tops

ok - my real name is Paris and im checking on the exit off 287, but I'm pretty sure Oakland is exit 58. Directly at the end of the exit ramp (from the northbound side) is a gas station (Exxon i believe.) and a small strip mall with a cafe, wheel shop, etc. I can be there in about 3 minutes from my house, then we can get back on 287 North right there.

BTW, I hope you guys arent into racing eachother up the highway.. i think a group of FDs will attract enough attention as it is.. (and i havent gotten mine inspected yet!)

Ummm I figure we will be driving at 80 the whole way traffic permitting , and I have a Detector so just slow down when I do , and even if i do get pulled over I am in the military so I usually get out of the ticket

 

well ill be leaving at the same time as you guys, im gonna print out a mapquest sheet from my house to the spot just in case i dont see you guys or i didnt get to the meet point in time..

Ok, so from 287 by my house it's about 35 miles to Yonkers. (over the TZ, so don't forget your EZpass)

I have a V1, so in theory we should be ok as far as cops go, I always get paranoid though, sorry.

Take EXIT 58 toward US-202/OAKLAND, and like I said before I'm pretty sure it's an Exxon at the end of the ramp. (you can't miss it.. it may be a Mobil, but either way.. its a GAS STATION.)

 

ergh, rain huh... Not a big fan of going in the rain, I don't know about you guys. I guess we'll play it by ear. Maybe we should give a call around at 6 or so? (Or at least well before anyone leaves..) Who's our list anyway?

Goodfella - I have the same directions and I've been up that way before, not to Yonkers but around there. I don't think it will be a problem, it looks fairly easy it's not too far off of the sprainbrook. I'd prefer not to lead though, I hate trying to lead people places.
