Rx-7/ Rotary Car Show-> Ohio
This is for SA's to FD's from R100's to Rx-8's Everything with a rotary heart (whether it had it factory or not) I dont care if you drive it in and it falls apart from rust. This show will be somewhere between Richmond, Indiana and Colombus, Ohio. I dont care if you trailer it, tow it, drive it, or push it. I will organize the meet when I have thirty people willing to go. It wont be until spring, but I need time to talk to people and get a green light. As of now it is free, but if it does cost anything it will be like $5 registration. It will be in a large public area, or at a small drive-in depending on the turn out. If enough of you are interested I will either talk to Kil-Kare Raceway or Mid-Ohio, whether you want to drag or drive, you guys decide. I will talk them into a group discount of some sort or a track day just for us. If you want also I can get some models to show up, I know five or six at the moment, and you could get yourself or your cars pic taken with them. Odds are it will be based in Troy, Ohio so look it up on map quest or I will post directions from any major interstate, however I wont do that until I know if this is a go or not. We can even have a nice little vote and see whos car wins. I could also, although this is doubtful, get permission for a burnout contest. Okay you have the info I will post later tonight, I need thirty (30) applicants so tell me if your in or not. This is slated for April no day as of yet, Troy is a beautiful little town perfect to showcase our cars. I will probably drive there today and snap some pics of a few of the locations. Just tell me if you can make it or not, spread this to other forums as well. Thanks,
Chris

I cant guarantee anything other than the show I am going to try and pull some strings and get the other things rolling, I tryed to register on ohiorotaries and it asks me if I am 13 or over and I click on it, then it jumps to a screen that says, sorry this username is taken, then it redirects me. I did this about 3 months ago to the same result, then I tried a few times this past week, same result..... If I get registered I will post it. But we have enough people here interested that I will go ahead and get the "permit" thingy that they will require. Unfortunately I didnt get pics of the locations, IT GETS DARK TOO EARLY!! But I will have them soon
Here they are,
1.) Hobart Arena Parking lot beside the pool/recreational facility, also next to the levi and the Miami river.
2.) The Square, center of town lots and lots of attention if its a warm day.
3.) A parking lot across from the Troy High School football stadium, its next to a baseball diamond.
4.) Any one of four small parks it has to offer
5.) Duke Park, a rather large park with a lot of small parking areas.
6.) The A&W Root beer stand, its a good sized drive in, and its across from a lot of car dealerships.
If we have a BIG turn out we could get the square closed to rotary traffic only, also Tipp City closes down main street and does the same thing (less cops in troy) Most of these locations are fairly large and definately open to the public, there are about 30,000 people in troy and its a busy little town. If I advertise enough we should get a decent turnout, If I can get a group deal at one of the more local raceways, we might make this a regular event.
I dont want this to interfere with any other rotary events, I want to go to the midwest rotary rally this year, I hope to tame deals gap, and the cherohala Oh yes I will take "The Loop"
I want each of you to talk to you friends and we need to get a running total of how many people are going. we need about 25 to get a permit, but I want more than 25 so I know at least that many will show.

I still cant get on ohio rotaries, I called on mid-ohio, havent got an answer. As for Kil-Kare I need to know the group size. And as far as I know on the show, its a big green light. I just have to decide where and have them tell me no, but I dont think they will have an issue, I just think it would be cool to have the center of town closed down just for Rx-7's Well for now plan on it going ahead Either the weekend of April 7th-9th or the 28th-30th one of those weekends, and then choose a day in that weekend. Let me know....

Well I can get to the registration form, but the register button doesnt work after I type email, username and p-word. Then theres a box I check to agree to the license agreement and the register button never lights up or whatever.

Thanks for the invite NOPR. April 30th would work out best for me. I'd like to help represent the RX8 and of course it would be nice to meet some fellow rotarheads
