Is there a NYC Caravan thread? I'm gonna be spending the weekend in the city, staying in Queens, probably, and would love to jump in from there.

I mean is there a specific thread about it (Search on "Rotorfest Caravan" didn't seem to turn up any NYC specific threads), or are the NYC people collecting here?

It would be cool if the MA guys could meet up with the Holland Tunnel gang. It would take us a little more than three hours to get there from Worcester. The MA group could roll from the Charlton rest stop on the Mass Pike around 6:30 and meet up with the NYC group around 9:30. The Charlton Rest Stop is one of the best because everyone from Boston, NH, and Worcester has to pass it on the way to 84W.

Where are we (massachusetts caravan) meeting up with the NYC caravan (Address to map quest) and at what time? our caravan is lookin good so far, so it will look even better when we link up with the NYC crew and then the NJ crew.

We are passing through CT. so we can meet up with you guys as well somewhere on or off the highway.

EDIT: Holland Tunnel. What time? and where on/off the tunnel?

Now im not from Jersey and i do hate the jersey transit system and there signs but the way im planning to head out is Holland Tunnel to 280 to Route 80.

The only problem is that when we blend into 80 were on exit 47 and we pass the meet up spot by 1 exit.

We can alter our way of getting there by either taking GWB , but most people like the Holland Tunnel so im not gonna change it.

Since you guys live in jersey whats the best way that does not have to many potholes/cops and is better for a nice ride. I dont drive in jersey much but last year after we left the Mobile Station/Dunken Donuts area we went to the right of the fork i beleive thats route 1, going towards 280 then we jumped on 80. (Nah im lying we actually took ROute 1 to I-95 Nj Turnpike to 80 this way we avoided 28o which i was told was full of potholes and pretty much a ruff ride, clarify me if im wrong. If we go this way we can def meet up with you guys!

Suggestions Welcome. The main concern is not getting there i will find a way, ima bring my girls father Magellan 800 Navigation just in case. But setting up the times. Most people last time didnt meet up with us cause it was too early. But im down to push the time up to meet up with CT and MA and RI guys. ANd since you guys are close in NJ at exit 48, you guys can wait for US lol..

Good to seee people are interested in meeting up

You can take the GWB to 80 and just stay on 80 till exit 48 and meet up with the NJ headz and wait for us NY/other NJ guys to meet up with u guys over there.

If ure coming from upstate its shorter for u to just go to GWB cuase no point in going all the way down by holland tunnel to go back up to the GWB direction on the NJ side nah mean.

Chrism we could go NJ to 80, thats what we did last year. I guess we can do that again to ensure we meet up with u guys at exit 48

there's a ton of construction on 280 right now, it really isn't a smooth drive. I'm thinking that taking the turnpike north to 80 is a good idea so it's easier to meet up with the other jersey folk also. Now we just need everyone to have easypass so the toll situation isnt a mess.
