With all that being said can we stay on topic. Stop living in the past, until you get 1.21 Giggawats of power your pretty much wasting valuable moments of your current life complaining and being bitter about something that will never reverse itself....

I lost 1k buying a power FC back in the day, its only money you going to make more and blow it on stupid ****.

I personally think there are good and bad people in both sites, that's the way it is and it will always be like that. I've meet great people on both sites and have yet to have a problem in 5 years. We all have the same interest and that's what it all about. Now lets get back to Rotorfest discussion.

the DJ has to carry the proper insurance or else the track wont let him spin.

i'm obviously new here but is Englishtown out of the question? I don't know what's entailed in planning such an event but thought I would ask.

multiple places amongst car class would be nice this year and it should be mandatory for you to be there to actually get your trophy (ie 1st, 2nd, 3rd place for fb, fc, fd, fe, other/frankenstein, and old school).....some set times are nice for announcements such as 50/50, 1/4 mile times and trophy times....and as for caravans i assume our pack of 8's are meeting at the same bat time, same bat channel as last year?....was a good enough meeting spot for almost 60 rotaries!

i dont know why you would have it on any other day? are any of us going to be around in 2077? better yet, will our RX-7's be around in 2077? i hope all of you do live that long, but i'm just saying it won't be around for a long time. call me corny, but i think it would be cool to have a day fully dedicated to the 7 (and RX-8's and bastderized rotary monsters can enjoi it with us, too.)

i wasn't too fond of the track last year (grass parking, huge bumps, crappy food, etc with a 7 hr round trip -which is no ones fault but my own since i live in Mass. -?), but i'd attend if it was there again. i understand that finding a spot for the amount of cars attending is a huge pain, so i appreciate and will respect whatever Vosko sets up for us. he does a great job, and i trust he'll do a great job this time around.

i could never imagine setting up a meet this huge with all rotary powered vehicles, yet alone any type of vehicle for that matter. I fully understand what must be done in order to get a meet like this set up, but there aren't any other options? New Jersey? New York? Pennsylvania? Hell, if anyone wants, i'll go around Massachusetts trying to find a better place. there's no doubt in my mind that we can find a better place to go.

There's a huge Subaru meet every year (Wicked Big Meet) and it's the largest known Subaru gathering in the world. It meets at a Massachusetts mountain (Nashoba Valley) and housed 1,200+ cars, vendors, models, a rally cross course, dj, food, etc and will be even bigger this year. i have met the organizer of WBM at a rally event that i raced in, and will most likely see him at my next upcoming rally event in February. if not i know his NASIOC screenname to get info. if there is enough interest i would be more then glad to see what it takes to get something like that set up. I'm not trying to step on anyones coat tails or disrespect those who have strived to make Rotorfest what it is today, i'm just trying to think outside of the box, because i believe we can do much better then Island Dragway. i would prefer that parking lot that we all met at over Island Dragway- BUT i will still attend if it is at Island Dragway.

either way, good luck to those setting up the meet. I still enjoyed myself at Rotorfest 2006; met a lot of awesome people, saw a lot of jaw dropping cars, and had a great time driving my RX-7 down to the event. If '07 Rotorfest is anything like 2006 (and Vosko's saying it will be better), I think we'll all have a hell of a great time!

I'll see you guys there!
Rick

Well we had a meet in NYC for NYRA and we had 73 cars show up, which is our biggest meet we had since the club started in 2006.

We are working out deals and kinks to make a rotary car show in NY, i know we are a little bit more equidistant, but its not 100% yet, we have to continue working out the kinks.

7/7/07 was the date we were actually considering for our car event (ALL Rotary)

Yeah i agree with you, Island Dragway should put up some frigging benches. They shouldnt yell at us for standing on the rails either cuz there was no benches

go to Modells and get some folding sport chairs, they fold into bags for easy carrying and cost $10-$20.

bring them wherever you go and you will always have a place to plant your ***, they have cup holders built in too
