Ever think of getting the rear seats installed?

There was a purple 3rd gen there that had the rear seats. Looked good. No real legroom but if they are toddlers, you could probaby install the child seats and there you go.......a "family" car.

Or you could buy an 8 and have a rotary w/ rear seats that are bigger than they look from the outside (i have one).

The unprofessional handling of the situation is what I disagree with. Again, I wasn't there at the time as I was drag racing so I might have missed something. Either way, I have known Vosko for a long time and don't think he is the type to purposely rip anyone off. Not taking sides here, just speaking from my experiences.

Miscommunication: if it was then he should of done the right thing. He said they raised the price, we talk to them and they say no we did not. He should of said, my fault I will give you guys back the difference. He blamed them and they where not at fault. He just thought we would not catch on. All we wanted was for him to man up to this. If he did, we would of patted him on his back and been best buddies. Instead he makes up more excuses about why the price went up. The worst thing is that it was not even posted at the track what the price was. He sure posted how much the food was.

Just to let you know how **** pore his communication was. He had no site for people to follow, he would say he had an update and hear nothing from him for a month, never posted details, never excepted help when people offered. Don't you think he should of had someone doing the gate work while he talked to everyone and thanked them for coming. The only time he walked away from the gate, I mean his money was to stuff his face and when we wanted to talk to him. When you run a show it's all customer service and relations. He did not even have someone taking pics to post about the meet or even a summary of how it went who one what, etc... Come to one of our meets and we will show you how its done. As every car that pulls up we talk to them, even the ricers who try to crash! You should have been to the Muslum BBQ meet, I mean Bear Mountain meet.

when a representive from one of the most well known shops in the country is telling people to vandalize or steal voskos car, yes that IS shamefull.

What kind of example does that set?

I know people are upset, but lets not lose our heads.

I sleep good every night even if I was $10-$20 lighter in the wallet. I have done more then my share for the "family", now its time for others to step up the plate.

Lets see who is going to be personally responsibe on the paperwork for the new site, who will put up the binder to cover damages, who is going to clean the lot when everyone leaves. One year I helped clean the lot after all the "family" had left. Then see just how much you like doing it when it costs you ALOT more money then $20. When people you do not know disrespect your event and your site.

Bonjour from Pari....

Haha, right so you want me to give you more money so you can make even more of a profit off the event

I look at this way, by charing people all that extra $ more of them had none left for a t-shirt. Two complained about having to spend more money that day and didn't and you won't be running the event again;
Comon your such a successful business man, Cost/Benefit analysis?

Your right about the gentleman part tho, i was still drunk off the flight, instead of your face they should go for the nuts to prevent you from procreating.

Wow, with all this ridiculous drama that I've read on here about rotorfest, I guess I don't feel soo bad about not making it there. I actually only had 2 reasons for going there. #1 being the caravan up there, and #2 being that I am selling my 91' and I've got a for sale sign on it and I prefer having a rotary enthusiast being interested in it rather than just some random person that doesn't know anything about rotary engines.
Well, I'm looking forward to it next year, as long as someone else will be organizing it this time. Someone honest and respectable that is.

Wow, I just moved to NY from Wisconsin and was really looking forward to doing the first rotorfest I could reasonably make. This didn't work out due to me needing to go back to Ill and Wi. After reading this and making bear mountain - I really enjoyed that get together - I don't feel so bad about not making it. I do want more meets, and would love to see a meet say at Watkins Glenn or somewhere like that where we could actually get on the track and push our cars the way they were meant to be pushed.

Rob, you more negative then anyone on here. If it was difficult why was it him and his butt buddie only? So many people offered and he would not let them into his inner circle because it will cut into his profit margin.

Im not even speaking of the event, im talking the actions of everyone else after.

Im actually offering help John64, obviously if I dont hop on the kill vosko bandwagon im also a bad guy here.
Im not even talking about him anymore, im talking about planning another event.

There is a difference from telling people to show up at a location versus renting/signing for the location and being personally responsible for what goes on that day and making sure vendors are insured if the location requires that.

Rob, help is always appriciated, but you make it seem like no one can do what he did and that he worked so hard. That is so far from the truth. I ran an event here in my town last summer for 1500 athletes from all over the US. It was a 10th the size of the Olympics. I know what goes into an event. It will be all good!

as long as you have people who are prepared, like yourself, so that it can go smoothly and no one gets hurt in the wallet, not talking $10-$20 were talking someone getting hurt legally or for alot more money.

by the way- yours and that 1st gen with the light kit and TII hood scoop are my all time favorites!

So you disagree with the unprofessional manor in the way Vosko handled the situation... I am happy you realize the truth now...

That would be a great alternative, Thanks for the advice. That is why I just recently bought a R100. This way the whole family can ride to meets... The only problem with the R100 is that it needs restoration and that takes time...

By the way, I think the Eight is great!... Now that rhymes... Vosko take notes. lol

Wow 19 pages of complaining... I didn't bother reading past the first page, but I got the gist of where this was going.... I guess I'm missing what the big fuss is about, granted I was a little caught off guard when he told me $30 for me and my girlfriend to get in, but it wasn't that big of a deal. I was more surprised by the fact that so many people got so bent out of shape by the price.... so much so that fights almost broke out. Honestly I'm surprised rotorfest still exists, I've been going since 2002 and it seems like every year there is needless drama, I figured those guys would have given it up by now, guess not...
I think everyone needs to relax....

Something interesting I just came across. I know just as things are calming down.

"maybe next time. i spoke with the owner of the track periodically and he was happy with everything. we are invited back again for 2007 and i will have a date in early january sometime. i already have a few things i want to change for next year. the price for the car show will probably be going up about $10 for next year. so i can actually afford to get you guys some prizes besides just the trophies"

"i may also do first and second place for each class next year instead of just best of show, i have a year to plan ahead, hopefully we can keep improving. also for next year if you are not in the car show you will not be parking on the same side as everyone else in the car show."

Read into them and get whatever you want out of them

Its about the price being $5 till the day of the show. People bring enough for entry and shirts and when they get there, they are forced to pay unexpectedly more for entry! All that rotorfest became a big money scam. I know the rx-8 owners are ticked because they brought just enough for the posted entry fee plus money for shirts.

Sorry i didnt really record any action on the highway just the caravan location, but nothing really on the highway, people were not bugging out upfront like they used to.

I was up front with GSPEC, KEL, 2 guys from Acosta, purple FD guy and we was booking like at 130mph for liek mad long!

I can understand that, like I said I was caught off guard when I had to almost empty my wallet to get in, I guess I have so many rotary themed shirts already the fact that I couldn't buy another one didn't bother me that much. I see where you guys are coming from, I just think it might be getting blown out of proportion.

OH i fell back on purpose pulled over and waitied for like 50 roatrys to pass then i jumped back on the highway to see how everyone was driving, some were bugging out and some were driving slow but nothing consistent enuff to get on video, so i started to boogie to get up front and blew by those 2 NJ cops on the divider like at 120-130mph, i slammed on the brakes (initial response) but then the FC started dancing from the left lane to the middle so i said **** taht, and gunned it.

I had fun driving, mad hot in my FC. So hot i put on my AC (which only blows HOT AIR) to cool me off. I wonder how ya Turbo guys made it without passing out

Ima do a lil video been getting mad emails and IMs with ppl demanding something, so ill slap waht i have together and post it up on the website, and some pics before the RF event , mostly the caravan spots
