We should start doing drives every sunday, or every other sunday. You guys should get walky talkys, like the motorola talkabouts. My and my friend have em, and they're really nice for drives. You can actually know what the other person is thinking. We coud all get em and be on the same channel, could be cool. Oh yeah, first I need to get a working car.... I might have it by this sunday :o, but probably not.

He's gotta admit though, if the 38 complaints thing is true, that's pretty damn impressive.

We could also get together after (or before, to get psyched up) the drive to watch one of the mischeif movies (I have all three.) They're always fun.

yea.. it is. we kept telling him we didnt believe it though. i think thats a little excessive. he said he had some complaints on us last weekend. me and joe were in NC all weekend.

i was thinking about getting a CB. joe had one in his car and so did dustin (other guy that went with us). he helped alot. we could talk to truckers and so on to see if cops were down the road. we could talk to each other if we got lost or separated. they have them for $60 at radioshack. im thinking about spending the money.

he said with 38 complaints, some of which people actually drove to the station, he has more than he needs to give us a ticket. whether it will go through in court or not... i dont know.

i was thinking about complaining, i probably will. i dunno.

Without a officer witnessing anything, it's heresay. Pointless and useless.

38 complaints..way to go...Gotta wonder if one of those other plates was mine?!

Your car isn't loud..jsut distinctive...I mean hell, its ten times quieter than one of those oil blowing Harleys that cops and cop like people love so much.

Got news from jeff...

Leak is coming from the oil pan gasket. It's apparantly a $15 piece, but it will take like $300 worth of labor to get to and replace. The rear sway bar is shattered (ewpz) and I need rear shocks. I think I might go with the racing beat sway bars, and tokico hp blues on racing beat springs. Jeff told my dad the next option over stock was koni adjustables which would be $600 for the parts....yeah right. So it looks like I'll have my car back Tuesday night or Wednesday afternoon, and it'll hopefully have upgraded suspension. Anyone have any input on what I should do from here regarding suspension?

Heh, I don't think he'd take kindly to me punching him, and he might hit back ;(. I think I'm gonna go with Tokico hp blues/racing beat springs and racing beat front/rear sway bars. I don't know how to install it all myself, so I'll get him to do it. Hope labor isn't too much. Is the oil pan thing something I could do easily? I have no clue :x

dude, dont get him to do it. it will cost you. ive done it a couple times on my car, and i have all the stuff to do it at my house. if you want just take a drive over here and we will do it in a couple hours, if that. its really not hard at all.

it sounds like a good setup to me.

hey joe thanks for helping me out with pycho boy the other day. I would have been in a lot of trouble if there wasn't another person there. Seriously though he freaks me out. I'm goin to some self defense classes so I don't end up in that "situation" you talked of

Good news! I might get a job working at Delta V Motorsports, where my car is now. The guy who owns it, Jeff, has owned 10+ RX-7s, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gens. I'll have access to a lift and power tools, and I'll get a ton of knowledge. I'll probably end up working for parts/learning. He said he'd teach me a lot of stuff if I come by a few hours each saturday and sweep/clean up and stuff. yay.

Helped move the 2.3 within a few feet of the RX-2.3...Let me tell you, that is one heavy biznitch. One way or another, it should be interesing...especially with that large happy ARC product on the side...

yes, she was ONE heavy biotch... shes in but theres a few issues.

the steering rack clears, if i stay straight, if i turn it, it hits at full lock.

the shift is about 1" forward from center in the hole, no biggie, but egh...

the valve cover is almost touching the firewall, but its not, so i cant move it back any farther for the shifter or oil pan.

and the tail shaft is up a little. theres some concern of the yoke on the driveshaft hitting the e-brake cable right next to it.

other than that, she looks right at home. im going to take some picutres in a little bit, i need food and shower.

lmao "oh **** there goes a rotor".

Man school sucks. My tokico shox/rb springs are coming in wednesday, then getting jeff to put em on, should have car back thursday night or friday morning. Anyone up for a drive next weekend? :o. I have my car back now, but the end links on the sway bar are broken, so the sway bar rattles and ****, so I can't drive fast at all. It's not unsafe jeff said, it's just like having no rear sway bar. Anyway, all fixed soon. Plus I'm getting new tires, any suggestions? I need something in 13s.

I was sick this morning, but that had little to due with my immune system. I think I need to upgrade to a three row liver.

Found out some cool news today. Jeff, the guy who works on my car, and I might work for him, at Delta V Motorsports and I were talking today, and it turns out he's going to be doing a 20B swap into a third gen. Apparently the guy called last week out of the blue. I'll DEFINITELY be living at delta v when they're doing that. Shox/springs tomorrow, yay.
