Glad to see you back DavidR. We are actually meeting on 1/11/2003 at 11:00. We will be at Rosen Auto Sports off of Boulevard near the diamond.

R.A.S.

Dave, for some reason that picture will not show up on my computer. Try emailing me a copy if you don't mind.

Zach and I worked on the engine a little more tonight, we probably could have finished but Zach had other priorities that needed to be tended to..

Here is a pic as it sits now.pic

Wow, this sounds like fun... maybe I should introduce myself. I'm Chris, but you guys can call me Kai, it's an old nickname of mine. I go to school at VCU, and live in Stafford... VCU dorms open back up on the 12th, so I can probably travel down a day early to go play at the dyno. My car is an 88 GXL, stock except for some magnacore wires and a cone filter. Hope to see everyone on the 11th!

Hmmmm, tail or engine work....
the engine can wait.

We should have a good crowd on the 11th. Usually 50% of the people who talk about going actually show up. It's people like Joe who bring this average down. Two new mufflers is reason enough to hit the dyno. I don't believe you pulled 175 before anyway.

Good enough? Seriously though...there isn't any reason for me to get on the dyno...if anything i've lost power since then...

How do I know you didn't draw those lines in there.
We'll you could at least show up and show off your "completely stock" rex.

That is a dyno chart from a stock TII 1.1.

I am trying to order these damn injector O-Rings from the Mazda dealership now. The upper and lower o-ring are the same on each injector for my car I believe. Can anyone verify this?

i just went through the whole o-ring thing it should be the same for a TII you need 4- 8574-13-253,4- 8574-13-252,4- n326-13-257,The 4- is the quanity(not to be confused with the part #)they come five in a pack but you can order only four i would get 5, when i ordered mine i got 1 that the top o-ring was stretched and it leaked,so i had to use one of my old o-rings.Hey rob i can get parts at mazda price,i cant order like every week at there price but if some people have some parts they want and can get a order together i can do it you be amazzed how much $ is saved.

No, I have not ordered them yet. I thought there was one o-ring on the top and bottom of each injector. What is the 3rd set of four that you mentioned? I was going to order them through the Mazda dealership but if we can put a list of stuff together that we need and save some money that would be cool.

Does anyone else need any factory Mazda parts??

TII rotor housings would be nice.

There are two O-rings and a grommet that goes on the base of the injector, the seal between the engine and the injector.

theres o-ring on top of the injector then a grommet then another grommet on the bottom of the injector before it goes into the intake. It will be $23.32 for just the 12 seals for the injectors thats my price which is $5.84 cheaper than list.Dont sound like much but it adds up quick especially when we buy parts for 4 RX7's plus a friend of my dads that has a TII that i sometimes work on.

wish i could do that...i did get my check today......oh so tempting..

david, do you think you are going to order some stuff? If you do I will order those o-rings and grommets through you. What time and where do you want to meet tomorrow?

Z, I am going to stop by the garage this afternoon and get some stuff done. Probably around 5-6.

One more edit: I got my oil line today. Z, would Lynn care if I used the garage at some point to fix that this weekend as well?!!

na i dont need any parts just yet that i can think of,my dad has some stuff to order but he waits until spring to hit em hard with bunch of parts.O i forgot to tell yall i got to playing with the S-AFC the other day and it does go to +/- 50% i got to thinking, dont know if it will be safe to do or not but since i have the S-AFC and the stock regulator acts like a rising rate FPR, i might go ahead and start it up with the s/c,that is if k2rd slowasses would hurry up and send my fuel pump first they arent shipping any more cartech FPR's until wed. so i got it 3 day aired so i doubt i will make dyno day,if so not with my car.

I've been reading alot of posts about how easy a TII hybrid swap is. Not a full TII swap (engine, tranny, drivetrain), just the engine, ECU, and wiring harness. If I did this, I would get to keep a smooth idle with the same HP numbers. Evil Aviator says its ok to use the NA drivetrain as long as the horsepower is kept fairly low.

It just seems to make more sense than buliding up a hot rod NA motor that doesn't like to start when its cold, loud as hell, lumpy idle (fun for a while, not fun on my daily driver) that only delivers 200rwhp MAX. It will be about the same price or cheaper to build the turbo motor.

Oh yeah, the VMSC site is just down. The webmaster is on vacation so nobody knows how to fix it.

Have you thought about calling that guy that had the vert w/ the tII hood? I think he said he had one for 300 or 350? Didn't he say he needed a rebuild? Maybe that spare TII motor could be part of the payment for rebuilding his engine?!!
