It's a bigger deal for her than me, as long as none of our cars are in the driveway

Diane is due the 25th of this month

and the Aerocatch latches are 90% - I need to redo 2 of the fastner nut and bolt adjust the bumpstops on the hood to level it perfectly but the hood closes and latches like it should
pics will be up when I get home and can post them
Taking advantage of the great weather I see!

I guess I could understand that, I was kind of thinking that because the driveway is basically one big slab, it was like a joint thing... I dunno... I've never seen anything like that before so it's hard to wrap my head around... Lol...

its not a shared driveway
for one theirs is actualy paved and sits a little higher than ours
also they mostly have large SUV type vehicles
3 or 4 of the, it's hard to tell as the number of people staying there changes
it's at least one family andsometimes two I think or all their cousins or something
they're also Mexican - not the slacker type, but the busting their *** doing contractor with work kind
their kids are real nice and polite
and it's only the driveway nonsense thats an issue

is it just blowing coolant out the overflow?
or are there tiny bubbles of doom - ie coolant seal, rx-7 fog machine
Saavedro can attest to what a cloud maker they can be, hahahahahaha

have you replaced the radiator cap? - turns out thats what was the issue for my current FC, the original koyo rad cap was a pos, after that no more coolant

GAH! This sucks dude! I love your FC!! I seriously hope the coolant seals haven't gone... Did you happen to notice if the coolant was a brownish color? Did it smell like Gasoline?

Also, Pierce, we were talking about V-mounts at Starbucks, I came across a picture someone did that might explain what I was talking about:

The one that looks like a V is the V-mount =]

Actually, coolant was getting out from the radiator cap so I put a different one on there, and its running coolER but still not back to normal.

What does it mean if the coolant is brownish?

I'm thinking about parting it out... would anyone be interested in the car with a 6 puck ACT clutch, greddy exhaust, new bushings all around, dtss eliminators, and other crap for $600? The car isn't starting unless I pop the clutch when its rolling and then its fine, minus the overheating issue.

I hate to say but I'm 99% sure thats the coolant seal going out in slow death mode - that sounds exactly like what mine was doing.
Saavedro experienced the sudden death version with his old white S4 when it popped in a single night.

Damn it.

Is there anyway to save it aside from a rebuild?

I know, that you already know the answer to that one.
You've been dealing with that 7's for awhile now.
You have alot of nice stuff on the car that I see you're already selling.
Good luck!

What we need is a local shop that does rotary rebuilds.

You did??? DAMN... I wanted those...

Sorry your car bit the big one bro... I'd say parting it out would be your best option right now. I've got a million and a half stock parts if you need 'em for whatever reason.

Outta curiosity, how much would you be looking to get for the wheels?

Edit: NVM, Just found the thread. Are you going to be parting the exhaust system or will that stay with the car?

There you go.
You'll have to decide how much you're gonna do.
Are you going to pull the engine yourself and hand hime the shortblock or do you want hime to pull it and reinstall it?
the latter will cost you more as you might imagine

Well, he and I agreed on the terms that I would pull the engine out myself. I need to buy the rebuild kit myself though.

I'm not sure he'd pull it out for you unless you take it to his garage. I'm sure that he would get a lot of business though if he actually started this as a business.

There's a great group buy on rebuild kits by Atkins Dan on the R0t@ry c@r club forum just replace the @ with a's and the 0 with an o. It's 10% off. Great Deal if you ask me.

Yeah, I've got you doing all the Charlie work.

I'd wouldn't mind doing rebuilds at the shop, but the boss man would never get behind it. Too much liability... and he doesn't even know that people neglect these cars and regularly tune them to their breaking point. The dirtiest we get with that stuff is engine replacement.

On the other hand, I'd like to keep rotaries as a hobby. Boingers for cash, wankels for fun.
