Blowed up real good

Hey there folks. I have an '88 vert and she started pumping smoke real bad yesterday(blue from the exhaust) so it needs a rebuild. I live in Fred. and am looking for a shop to do the rebuild. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Andy

talk to zach mcafee on this board. He is very good, but he is busy at the moment. PM him and he can let you know if he can do it. He builds most of the richmond rotary guys motors. Now if yours had pistons I would take care of it myself!

rx7_boy 05-12-07 11:45 PM

Reading the forums makes me miss my FD so much I moved to Triangle VA with my wife about two months ago. I stopped by RP performance the other day just to check out the local FD scene here and coming from michigan its crazy! Well hopefully in a few weeks i can get my car and bring it back here..... I would like to get to know some of the local owners around town just because were im from my car is the only one people have seen

Well let me know about the meets and i would be interested in showing up but would have to take my wifes car:uhh:

YUP. they payed exactly what I asked for, they even cam down with one of those covered racing car trailers
all in all they got a pretty good deal and I made a tidy profit and Citibank will be getting a fat check next month
So the Miata is next, it get's a paint job before going up for sale though - hopefully a better one than what the FD got

yusoslo 05-14-07 03:10 PM

I am gonna take a chill pill on this next one..I am moving into my new downtown condo....with 2 stall garage!!!!

When I roll out next time I will finally have on new suspension, new black carpet just came will install it, finished my black suede doors, my CF parts 4 pieces in total came and will install, and gauges/turbo timer will all be installed. lets hope I can get all that done by next friday and move into my new place.

I also have to return the Audi the Precision Auto body, nice people to deal with but their work was half assed, gave me a car back that was 80% done, granted the will fix the problems but damn its inconvienent.

Also what should I do about this.....when painting the car they broke my woodgrain trim and ripped the leather on the door by 3 inches...should I ask for them to replace it??

niburu 05-15-07 02:58 PM

SOooooo I order some stuff....new set of cats since I need to pass next month,
some stainless steel brake lines from Corksport, and a Racing Beat torque brace
and I guess I should get around to getting what toys I already have installed

niburu 05-16-07 07:28 AM

Soooooo I'm driving down Forest last night and I smell the sweet odor of coolant
which then comes billowing out in clouds.
So she's been towed to the mechanic (yet again) it's either a hose right near the exhaust manifold or coolant seal.
I'll let you guys know when I know.

Now who do we know locally that could rebuild a rotary (just in case) hmmm?
