Getfast: Wow, we must have met?! I was working at Patriot sunday as well!

Prior to the event at VA beach, I'll be getting new front tires, rear camber link, and dtss eliminators. I'll also be saving every damn penny I have due to monthly bills, a trip to Utah this month, those car parts, and more.. while working a money-making highschool job

I need to find exactly where my small oil and coolant leaks are coming from, or I won't pass inspection. DIY omp lines aren't too expensive, so I'll jump on that for futures sake anyways. If even a drop comes off the chassis during tech inspection, will I automatically fail?

It's doubtful that a tech inspector would even notice (unless your car smelled like burning oil/coolant, or was smoking.)

My old BMW had a small weeping leak from the oil pan gasket for... at least 10 events, hahaha. A lot of it depends on the type of leak (pressurized/ready to blow vs. not likely to get any worse from a bit of hard driving.) I once bailed out of an event less than 24 hours beforehand due to a power steering pressure hose that was leaking very slightly, for fear that it would explode and make a mess for everyone else. Knowing where/why/how it's leaking is 90% of the battle.

Hope it helps,

Jon

skizzle also make sure your wheel berings are tight, I nearly got bumped because of too much play in my wheels
they're really easy to tighten up

I'm definitely a strong believer on that as I just walked inside from trying to figure out why I have an F'ing FUEL leak!?! I searched, and nothing. It is coming from the pass side. Could someone give me a hand sometime soon and help me find it?

On a lighter note, I found my oil leak. It was at one of the OMP lines - tightened it and now its good!

I have a rear wheel bearing waiting to be put in. I'm going to order dtss elim tonight and then try to do it all together sometime soon.

well guys I might be picking up a Greddy turbo kit for the FC, but I took it out on stock suspension last night and boy did it suck! drifting was more like a rocking chair, and the car lifting so much on acceleration it was rediculous.

Buy 'em, include 'em, and mark the FD's price up... at least $700. ;-)

Dude, I know you've got it - you just don't want to spend it.

Big baller Quinn getting stingy in his old age, eh?

I'll show you my equity line, mortgage, and creit card bill sometime.
Now who on here besides me actually owns a house?
If I had $700 I'd be putting in the clutch the car needs.

If you'd like Jason I can list them with the car when it goes into autotrader or whomever I wind up talking with.
Hell maybe Robin should get them, he's got FD wheels on his monster right now
he can use all the traction he can get.

I still can't believe they drove all the way up from Norflolk just to flake on buying the car the next day.
Ah well, I'll see what Ralph wants for a clutch replacement and into autotrader it goes.

PS: lookey I just hit a thousand posts

I think 4" single piping would work just fine, especially with a non-fartcannon muffler (sorta like what's on my FD)

is that what he is running? 4" is kinda hardcore for the stock turbo, but that would be nice for a big setup
