Ok, it runs now. I did a few things:
-The boost gauge line was T'ed into the same port as the computer vacuum line. I removed it just in case it was causing some interference.
-Pulled the CAS and closed the clearances on the pickups. It didn't feel 'notchy' before and now it feels right.
-Pulled the computer out and jiggled, wiggled, ect. and verified connections.
-Injected oil into the plug holes to help with startup compression.
It started up rough and I had to hold the throttle open. It stayed running for a while at ~2000 rpms smoking when all the sudden it jumped up in idle. I pulled off the throttle and it stayed smooth at ~2400 rpms (I turned the idle up on the TB the other day). I let it run for a while, shut it off, turned down the idle, restarted, set the timing and it now runs and starts fine.
The problem now, it won't come out of gear. I've replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders, it pushes the fork as it should, but for some reason the pressure plate is not releasing the clutch.
I'll look more into it tomorrow, but it doesn't look good. Either it jammed up for some reason, the throw out bearing fell off during install, or the pressure plate is shot.

well the install of the struts and springs didn't go exactly as planned. First of all three of the four struts are in and all for springs are in.....that and we ripped a bolt apart >_< cause the idiots who put it on last time cross threaded it. Anyway I'm going to the place tommrow and getting it fixed.

Oh gosh, just speed as unoften as possible, Wilson! $250, and a month restricted license later, I learned its not worth it. There was one part that made me happy though, the fact that my top speed through the turns (by Echo lake on springfield) was roughly 60ish... clocked at 66! [31 mph over]

Anybody in RIC... if you run into a problem with broken studs and stuff call the firestone at Regency Square. The total parts are about 7 bucks or less and time wise it takes about 30 minutes. What type of springs and struts did you install calypso? I have a set of kyb adjustables on tein progressive lowering springs. They ride great for the most part now after about 2 months of testing and changing the settings. I do have a question though... has anyone installed camber plates in there 7? I am going to have to other wise I am going to destroy my new potenza so3s.

Yea I had it aligned.. the front is fine it is the rear that I have a problem with. With the new lowering springs it changes the alignment angles to a pretty negative setting and the rear has no alignment adjustment. It is minor wear on the innermost treadblock, but if I let it go too long the tires will start singing like my dunlop fm 901s did after about 5000 miles and later the tires will need replacing due to heavy edgewear. Another question while I am here.. Has anyone installed dtss eliminator bushings? I am interested in adding them to the car, but would like to know what I am getting myself into.

Hey guys...thought I would check in. It has been over a year since I have checked this thread. I guess I can say life has gotten in the way.
It is amazing how this thread is still going...and I even recognize some names. Well, for those that remember me, I still have the 7. Unfortunately, it has been spending the past two years or so sitting in my garage, haven't even touched it. I hope to have some time to screw with it soon...I really need to get it down to VIR again.

yea I went there...they were really nice and after I explained my predicament they were like well if it's any consolation, most of the cars ahead of you are inspection ones, so those go through pretty fast. I guess I was the only car there that actually needed real mechanical work done lol.
BTW what was the stuff you said I should get to get rid of the oxidation in the paint?
