Me and Robin will be in Gloucester getting the TII started up Saturday. Can't make it this time.
Yeah, I've been busy as hell lately, and its not getting any better since I took on another position today. I'm now Vice Chair of ASME, Webmaster of ASME, Webmaster of RRR , member of the Mini Baja team, Chair of the SAE RX-7 Project, full time student, and part time sales. I don't think I forgot anything. Still need time for fixing the car, drinking beer, chasing women, racing, ect., ect.
But whose complaining? Not me. I'm having a blast, but I need more than 24 hours a day.
Anyway, two weeks till the first autoX! March 9th! Woohoo!

meet up around 12-1?
I'm getting drunk tonight...need time to sleep it off!
Hopefully I should have my EMS by the time spring break rolls around for VCU. Zach would you be up for hacking up an engine bay? I found a place that has Newcastle for 12-13 for a 12 pack...

I'll keep it short and sweet. We were talking in the VCU parking deck @main and laurel due to the mass rain. We are ready to leave as lines of cars are coming in from both sides up on the 3rd floor so I sit waiting in reverse to back out. Some guy thought it'd be a bright idea to jump the gun and pull into the spot to my right (pass side). Short and sweet, he did a mild "tweaking" to some aerodynamics.
-The damage: (some I didn't see in the dark deck)
Slight dent/impression behind the rear pass wheel.
-The running light has more of a pointing down angle, the top of the moulding has lifted a few mm from the body panel.
-The same moulding has some horizontal scrapes...
-I really didn't check the wheel...but....
-He hit the factory side skirt on the pass side before the rear wheel....this pisses me off the most. It's moved out a few mm from the body at the top and now has a crack in it...
I'm going to record all phone calls I make with the guy should he decide to go away from his word of payment. Should he deny on any attempt, I checked out his name, address, and phone (which make me want to trust the guy), I'll collect. This way, if for some unknown reason he doesn't want to pay a higher cost due to the side skirt (it's really not much...just out of alignment and the crack which I presume can be patched/painted it's ~1.5"...all in line with the other damage), I'll take his *** to small claims.
Guess I am going to Bruce's
Not short or sweet, but I'm still in a denial/shock stage...it's minor...but still...

Sorry to hear that Joe, I know how you feel. However, I would have called the police to file a report. I have talked to too many people since my accident that said I was VERY lucky that I got my money even though there was no report filed.
Update: Zach and I made it to Gloucester and got everthing installed, Racing Beat Exhaust, FCD, wires, etc. I filled it with oil as Zach filled it with coolant when we heard a draining noise. Somehow, we did not replace the gasket on the water pump and had never tightened down the bolts. We had to take the fan, pullies and the water pump off to replace the gasket. It was an easier fix than I thought it would be. After all was said and done, my dad and I checked everything over one more time yesterday before cranking it over. It started after 3 or 4 cranks and revved up to about 3k. It sounds nice!! Much lower than my n/a. I shut it down after a few seconds b/c no oil pressure was showing. Turns out I had the sensor hooked up wrong, another easy fix. It took a little convincing to get it started again (kept flooding) but when i did finally get it started it ran smooth. I still have a lot of adjusting to do (tps, idle, etc.). I am going to set the idle the best I can in a few weeks and finally bring it up to Richmond after I am comfortable that there are no leaks and that it will get me to all of my job interviews.. Sorry for the long post guys.

congrats rob and zach on getting the TII running i cant wait to see it and hear it.Joe that really sux sorry to hear bout that.Im going to try and get a used motor from kevin landers for the blue 87SE so i can have something to drive and autox, for the begining of the season, once i get up some money im going to sell it to get the rest of my money for the pineapple motor.Im missing my car very badly, but it was my stupid *** fault.Where are you going to get your car tuned at rob?Thats the only thing im scared of know is when i spend $3k for the vert and cant find someone to tune it,my dads supposed to find this phone # for me of some guy he talked to that uses the dyno at the R&D center up by the airport for tuning.
