Thanks. I just started doing track days in March, and this was my 4th event. I'm going back in oct on the 15/16 with carguys. If anyone's interested check out www.carguys.com (but their website sucks, so e-mail them if you want more info). It'd be great to get a lot of people out there.

I just picked up an S5 (89-91) parts car this weekend. I'll have to go check the mileage, but I know it runs and has strong compression (I checked it for the PO two months ago)

Are you parting out the whole car? I could use some interior bits, I've managed to bust a few plastic pieces pulling the Hoosiers in and out of the car, and the warning lights cluster surround shattered on me this past winter. Anyway let me know if you wanna sell them or not.

I'm trying to keep this as 'rolling' as possible for awhile, so I can move it in and out of the garage. I might just take a whole weekend of work though, strip it complete, and then it's a non-issue.
Last time I was at my house in the Tidewater, I tried grabbing a whole suspension for you. UNfortunately, the bolt that attaches the front of the lower control arm has seized to the subframe. I might be able to take a torch with me next time I'm down and get it - so eh, I dunno.
I do have that S5 turbo motor broken down - I could probably rid myself of a front cover and stuff - Papa needs a new cell phone :-)
Give me a call when day when we can get together and we can work something out - I live in the West End now (Woodman/Hungry)

I'm 99% sure that I've got a few spare black surrounds. The interior is pretty rough on this car, but I might have some of the stuff your looking for. Best bet is to call me after 5pm some afternoon when you can come and have a looksee. 804.687.6199.

Seriously though, I've been driving my POS Dodge Stealth for two months since the 7's been dead with that wheel bearing issue. Sure it has torque, but that's it... I keep thinking, at least it was made in Japan. :o:

Well I will be getting rid of some vert wheel in the next few months.....:-)

I believe the Stealth's and 3000gt's were assembled in a plant in Normal, Illinois with some of the parts coming from Japan

No, they where all assembled at the Mitsubishi plant in Nagoya, Japan (VIN begining with J to denote Japanese manufacture.) That's why they aren't considered "DSM" cars.

It's the obesity and unreliability that makes people call them DSM's :)

Have you had a chance to tear that engine down? I am interested to see what kind of shape the internals were in. Did you still want the wiring harness plugs? I remember you saying you were going to need them for the Haltech. Let me know.

Looks like you had a great time. That track is unbelievable!! Unfortunately, I haven't been out there in years. I do hope to go sometime next year. How many people were on the track? It is great that you had all that open track. That is very rare in the events that I have attended.

Yeah, really. I've thought about painting black spots on it to give it the big-fat-cow look.
I haven't opened the block up yet, and don't really plan to until I have a rebuild kit in my hands. I did externally tear it down, clean it up and test fit the TII manifolds to see what all I have to do (and there's plenty.)

Yeah, I can still use the harness left-overs. That reminds me, I found one of your engine lift hooks on the engine, you probably want that back.
