I could give you some help, where are you gonna do the swap? I live in dinwiddie, i just finished my TII swap on the vert. Its not that bad just a couple of wiring issues, everything else is just swapping everything. Its good that you are getting a parts car, thats the best way to do it. Let me know and i could help you if you are close by where i dont have to drive to far.

A halfshaft is what connects the rear differential to the hub and it drives the rear wheels. On our cars we have a independent suspension which allows each wheel to have its own suspension and move independently. On old cars, or some of your bigger trucks now days you just have a whole rearend which is basically a straight axle.

I am kinda bowed up with cars i have to do repairs on and kinda behind, im willing to help you but i wont be able to do it here. I have a motor to put in my brothers 87 RX7 and head gaskets to change on my moms car. Not to mention summer times a coming and i dont like to do to much work in the summer, cause thats when i enjoy all my hard earned toys.

Have you got the parts car yet? What year is it and what kinda shape is it in? Why dont you just keep the TII and drive it?

Aww that sucks, i was looking forward to learning. I know next to nothing about the rx's and nothing about turbos to be honest. I need a whole training session haha. I think i'm taking the car up to the dealer within the week...it's burnin oil pretty bad and I dunno what's wrong. I guess there's no other rotory mechanics around richmond.

Also, anyone want to help me setup my turbo timer? Came with the car but the guy has never gotten it to work...wouldn't mind having it setup.

Sup fellas. Just stopping by.

Although I told Dave I'm not gonna have a rex to race this summer, I'm still working on the GTU. I just don't have the time or space to do it the way I want so it'll take until the middle of the season before it's ready. And yes, I am still looking for an S4 or 330ci. I'm in the loan process right now. It's really hard to do anything when my whole week goes to work.

I'm living downtown now, too, right across the street from Richbrau. So, if any of you fellow alcoholics are in the area, give me a call!

I'm swapping over the suspension from the '87 to the GTU today....in the mud....and its cold.
