Professional Car Detailing Service
As the weather is getting warmer, more and more people will start bringing out their gorgous sevens. I am a professional detailer and I have a lot of experience with making any car look better than new. I worked for Exotic Auto Boutique in brooklyn as a detailer for a lot of the high end cars for car shows. I do everything from a simple hand wash and interior clean up....to a 5 hr clay bar, wax, poilsh, full detail as you wait. I do exceptional work and have tons of clients. I am very picky and **** abot getting everything...down to your inner door jams...to taking off your wheels to get to your wheel wells....I take my job very serious.... I thought i would offer my service because i know a lot of people have a hard time finding a good place to have their car detailed at.
My prices are very reasonable and well worth the money. If anyone is interested please email me at Bkzzzfinest@aol.com and let me know what you would like to be done. pix of my work on request

Usually depending on what size of car is gettin detailed....i normally have a couple of different packages I offer.....the 1st is what I like to call a General Cleanup for $75...it starts off with a full interior clean up....seats get removed, carpet gets washed thoroughly, all panels are whiped down, followed by leather conditioner, and vinlyn treatments, seats are cleaned thoroughly, all door jams are cleaned along with all door rubbers are all coated to prevent cracking, rear bins, trunk plastics all recieve special cleaner and coating, deodorizer is sprayed elimanating any old car smell....you car is then sprayed with air refreshner and closed up....
Exterior-the car is 1st jacked up and all wheels come off...the wheels are then sprayed with degreaser to eliminate road debris....the wheel wells are thoroughly cleaned and glossed up to get that clean black wheel well appearance....the brake calipers get cleaned aswell as suspension arms get whip down...after the wheels are clean they are put back on the car....and the car gets hand washed twice....all exterior plastics get whiped and coated ....aswell as tire shine and wheel polish....exhaust tips are cleaned and polished aswell

The 2nd package I offer is a Full detail for $125....It is everything like the general but your engine bay gets cleaned up, the car get spray waxed and a clay bar....paint cleaner by hand...and wax and polish with the machine....the car is washed after every session so the car gets washed a total of about 4 times...
The 3rd package is for the regulars...if your a regular customer you get the full for $100 and general for $50....with every two visits you get the 3rd for free...
and i also offer an express which is a quick wash and interior for $20 weekly to maintain the car

While i realize those packages are for general cleaning, do you do any extensive paint correction? Im on the other side of the country, and also a detailing enthusiast, so im asking for people who might be looking to have swirls and scratches removed, because thats really where the big jobs are.

agree, I did detail for 3 years to support me through senior year high school and all of junior college. All of the stuff you do just in your $75 is crazy for that price. That's a lot of work for $75. I would have charged $75 just to remove the seats, clean, and replace.

15 years ago I had a detail shop and charged more then that and did not remove seats and rims.
Im just saying dont sell yourself short, what might happen is you will get that **** pail car to detail and the guy will expect to pay $75.
Your detail sounds like it takes a full day, $75 aint enough for a days work, its not ripping people off, its called getting paid a honest wage for a job well done.
Then again- charge the RX7s guys $75, and charge the rest $200, lol

How many hours does it take to do your work? When i detail for people my hourly rate comes between 20-25 an hour.
my car washes alone are 25 dollars. I do not remove wheels, and that doesnt include an interior detail. What the customer does get is a quality wash with quality products and techniques. I use a combination of ONR (optimum no rinse) and Optimum car wash. This makes for a strong slippery cleaning solution. THe ONR helps keep water spotting down.
I had the same mindset as you when i started, doing a ton of work for cheap. One thing i learned is that the quality of your work is reflected in your prices. They cant be to low, or people will think you do a shoddy job, they cant be too high, or youll scare customers off. I feel comfortable charging my hourly rate. Remember who your competition is as well. THe local car washes whos main goal is to bust out as many cars as possible in the day. Getting it done fast is more important than car care and quality of work.
Theres alot of liability thats involved in removing a customers seat and wheels. You could accidently strip a nut, or break a bolt, or forget to hook up the airbag sensor wires. Instead of taking off the wheels, why not jack up the corner to full expose the wheel well for cleaning? This is the process i use, and it keeps me from anything accidently happening.

I am not just starting though....ive been doing this since i was a little kid lol.....all through highschool...and college....i just figured id throw it up and see who would be interested locally....i am happy with the detailing position i have at exotic auto boutique....i just figured i would throw it up and and see if anyone wanted to get their car done on my free time....i have always taken my time making sure if i take off things i put them back or i do a quick walk around to make sure that their is not something i can be held responsible for...personal goodies and change are all bagged up and returned......i take off the wheel because you can clean the wheel a lot more thoroughly rather then just stick a brush through sum spokes...i used the example of removing the seats because i realize its an rx7 forum and removing rx7 seats are rather simple....im not gunna just start unplugging seats on highend car like benz and bmws which have a lot of wiring....not every car requires a thorough under the seat cleaning...especially the newer models or well kept cars..but for the people with tan interior FDs for example their carpet mite be stained so i would remove it....i am not in competition with anyone...most of the cars i do would never ever consider taking their car to a car wash..and even if they could a lot of them are way to low to even fit..i am the type of guy who gets a call from a guy with an isf or rs4 and is like i have a date tonight you think you could hook me up....i have a lot of pictures of cars i have done in the past for anyone who is interested..i have had a lot of exotics and expensive cars in my driveway..i am not worried about people thinking, because of my low prices my job doesnt have quality...i have my steady job ,my regulars and am not starving for business....i am just offering a service for some guys on the forum because i own an FD and i figured i could pass some of my free time with a fellow rotary owner...make a couple of bucks, talk cars, bullshit and enjoy life....not everyone who owns an rx7 has a lot of money...but they work hard for what they have and would like to get some great service at a great price....i set my prices at a price where i can replace products as i finish them and put a few extra bucks in my pocket..im not trying to run a business...just offer a service..we all have our own methods of detailing, their is no one method of doing something....we all are comfortable in the way in which we do stuff....so please people stop treating me like i am some novice without getting to know me or see my work....i set my prices up....if your interested just let me know....because by everyone putting in their own two cents on the thread it is making me look like i dont know what i am doing....and thats bad for business....thanks

No one is saying you dont know what your doing, but this is an example on how low pricing reflects the quality of work, which is why people are saying you arent charging enough. You could definitely bring your prices up a bit and still retain regulars. When it comes down to it however, pictures speak louder than words, so definitely put those up.

I see where everyone is coming from..From Kerry point of view having a loew price is good for him....Which means that he would have more customers...Also i know that he isnt going to charge the same, if you have a RX-7 and he charge you 75 bucks, doesnt mean his going to charge someone with a truck the same price...Then i know you guys are looking out for Kerry, his busting his left nut and the pay isnt going to be great...

plus one on the cheap charges...
folks dont realize the labor involving detail.. same can be applied to metal polishing...
if you broke it down to an hourly rate.. youll find yourself charging less than minimum wage...

This is just one argument you could never win....if i were to put high prices people would complain and say hey i rather take it some where else....i figured i would offer a low price and people would jump on it....i guess not....if people are so concerned with the prices try me out and leave a big tip...its simple
