PFsupercars is awesome!

So, my ignition coils were shot, vacuum hoses popping off all the time, and I had overheating problems!

within 2 days up at PFSupercars(even tho Ray had 20+cars there), he did a Full Vacuum hose job, replaced ignition coils/wires, fixed various larger hoses, installed an intake, fixed lots of electrical problems, and replaced fuel injector O rings!(most of it was done the first day I dropped it off, but he had to order new ignition coils/wires)

So I drive away, engine light comes on(my wiring harness is shot from mazda dealership installing a new engine), I drive back, Ray determines it was the knock sensor acting up because of my shot wiring harness, he disassembles it, puts it back together(it was a bad connector), in less than 5minutes my car is running perfectly! And the bill was quite a bit less than I expected!

Ray is definitely worth the money you pay him, he busts his *** and knows his ****!

PFsupercars gets an A+ in my book and I reccomend that shop to anyone w/ a Rx7/IS300/350z/Supra!

I agree with Doug... Ray is top notch when it comes to RX-7s and is a pleasure to work with. I recommend them any day of the week...

I just dropped my car off with Ray on Saturday. He is going to do my single project. We talked turbos and he actually is going to make the kit himself and go with a PT67..a popular turbo for IS300/Supra folks. Ray seems like a good guy and hopefully he can keep the shop in good standings with excellent service. You wouldn't be able to beat such a shop close by to be able to rely on!!

If anyone see's the Blue FD there with 99 spec wing and no license plate front...that would be mine It'll probably be there until the second week of August.

I had Rotary Performance do my apex-i safc (gen1) install, they did it well... they however did an exemplary job on the centerforce II install.

I'm callin BS lol. I think Ray is hiding a shop rat somewhere around there lol. It blows my mind how much he accomplishes - and well - ALONE. There's GOTTA be someone helping him in the shop... I mean, a bunch of stuff you'd just wish you could tell someone to "hold here" or "pull that while I..."

for Ray

Question

What is the waiting period for tuning? The only thing I need is to get my PFC tuned, since the car is in perfect condition. Also, what does he charges?

I just picked up my car today from Ray. I was up there most of the day actually while he tuned the car on the dyno. Nice ride Amraam4!!! That paint job is pretty sweet.
I pulled 322rwhp at the end after about 6-7 runs. So it was definitley heat soaked by those numbers. Surprisingly, (or not) at the end of that run, my leading coil blew. You can actually see on the chart where he was still on the throttle and the power died. I'll try and post it later. Anyway, hats off to Ray at PFS. He did a great job getting my 1300's and cat in as well as awesome tuning on the dyno. He's got a great shop as well as a great assistant Jason, very cool and knowledgeable. It's a good thing he's not too close to me, otherwise I'd be broke and my wife would divorce me. Well, that could still happen.

yes, he said he also has a third kid starting soon. No rotary experience but he just graduated from school and has experience on engine management and basic engine work. He said he'll probably have him start out with the IS's and gradually work him into the FD's.

Nobody better than Ray. Top quality work, fair prices, amazing expertise with the RX-7 and for that matter with the IS-300. He will be around a long time.

He just about has me convinced to turn in my twins for a medium single.

FDNewbie, if you really want a job, call him up and ask him. He is looking for somebody who knows cars to handle the desk, talk to customers, help out with repairs from time to time.

Tom, I'm kinda stuck in one field right now, w/ def. no time to play around in another. But it's always been a dream/goal of mine to learn under the hand of a very skilled tuner and builder. Who knows...maybe in the future I can seriously pursue that...

Oh and Tom, w/ the crazy 1/4 mile times you're making outta the stockers, you want a medium single why? I'd love to see your timeslips on a set of the new BNR Stage III's or something.

I was so impressed with the "new" PF Supercars, and my introduction to Ray and his new shop, I WISH he was closer to me. I would have asked right then and there if Ray was looking for someone who could come in part time and lend a hand, possibly even as a volunteer. And this comes from someone who is a contractor with the Army and makes a respectable income for his age.

I almost volunteered to man the desk myself. I really want him to succeed.

FDNewbie, it's all Ray's doin'. Actually I have been planning on the BNRs but Ray is pretty much a huge fan of making these cars single. He believes I can have almost all of the low end quick spool up and still make tons more power with something like a GT35R.

But I am still undecided. I'm going to take some baby steps in September with a new ECU, a larger stock mount intercooler, and a ***** to the wall Rayman tune on C-16. Then back to the strip.

Im heading up there Friday to pick my car up. Can't wait. Gotta get the Kazz and axels on it so I can start racing! Ray had to relocate one set of my Tec coils so the stock manifold would clear, fix a bunch of wiring, fix my trigger wheel, and tuned it for 15psi on pump. He's a straight up guy. No B.S. with him. I've already thrown alot of business to him.
