Hey guys,

The meet is official May 14th 2006 at Valley Stream State park exit 15a off of Southern State.

The meet will be a small gathering between rotary heads. The meet is going to be sponsored by NYC Rotary Revolutionz, we will bring the food and grills, but the people that are coming can also bring some snacks and beverages at your discrestion.

So far Tommy (BKLYNRX7) me (RR7) and ANil (kaotk) are bringing burgers, hotdogs,chicken and beverages. We arent the richest people but we can bring what we can with the funds we have. But your more than welcome to bring some stuff.

More details on whose bringing what can be discussed here so we dont have 1000 hotdogs and 1 burger lol.

P.S This is a state park so DONT BRING BEERS. (Smoking is okay). We dont want to get kicked out or ticketed or worst loose an RX-7 because the driver is drunk. WE dont care for the driver per say ; we just dont want to loose another RX-7 lol.

So here's the list of what we need to get the BBQ in motion. If you are going to bring any ot the items on the list, please let us know so that we can cross it off and keep the list going.

Please don't say that you'r coming and bringing this and that and don't even show up. We keep it real and expect that you show the same amount of respect by keeping it real with us.

*** There is NO BEER OR ALCOHOL at this meet. We do not encourage drunk driving, espically in the rotary community. Please DO NOT show up if your going to be drinking and driving. This is a close knit get together and we want everyone to get home safe to their families.

Hey Everyone,

We already have a rotary chef. He's gonna do the hot dogs on a rotor, this way you guys can flavor the wankel.

Chef for this meet is going to be Anil (kaot1k)

Can someone please bring some spices so that we can flavor up the BBQ portion of the meet. Salt, Pepper, Cumin, Hot Sauce, Jalapeno's, etc....

We encourage everyone to actually get out of their cars once then show up to the meet and introduce themselves to everyone and not stay in their cars and act like they are god. We are a close knit family and want to know everyone that comes. We don't bite or have cooties. We all laugh, joke and sympathize with each other.

^^^That kinda sucks on my part but it doesnt seem like anyne else is being detered so i say we roll with it. If anyone else see a problem post up. LIke I told Jason Ill be bringing, burger meat and chicken. I just found out my grill is dead so il be picking up a new one just for the meet. Ill also get the hot sauce bbq sauce and spices and ill try to convince my girl to marinate some chicken for the grill.


Hopefully my fc wll be atleast partially repaired by then.

 

Im going i havent descided what im bring yet cause i just work up. But ill bring something.

Yo ya def can come , ya know we dont discriminate lol. Anything rotary powered can come and people that may not have there rotaries becuase they got damaged can still come. I guess after we see how many people are going we can break down what we need in more details cause, if everyone brings too much of something its gonna get wasted.

As it gets closer we will work out the kinks. Another important thing besides food is utensils, and plates, we cant eat our food right from the pot or the grill =).

The food i think will be pretty much covered by all of us. After we have a clear cut # of people that will attend.

Another possibility is that we can bring the food we like to eat. Like im more of a chicken and burger guy, so i can bring what i know i will eat and not waste. So ill bring what i know i can consume with the people i bring and bring extra so others can have. If we do this, in a sense u pay for waht u want to eat, and we can all use the grill to eat / cook what ever we want or brought.

So we bring food and a lil extra so we can barter and exchange food and beverages. Ideas ideas ideas.

Another way of doing it that a few of us can put up the bill, and charge a cover charge, but when u get into this its gets tricky and almost disrespectful. Cuase if i pay $10 to get in and i only eat $5 worth of food ima be mad, and if i pay $10 and eat $50 then im a greedy bastard. So this is why we rather have you bring what your capable of bringing so that way u wont feel like ure being jerked.

So lets debate the ideas and see what we come up with

hey guys,
i was wondering if there were ever any rotary meets in ny.....
just a bad weekend for me.....12th is my bday, 13th i graduate from college, 14th mothers day......

id defnitly be down if it were a different weekend......
but keep me informed of other meets...i miss hanging with the rotary community as i used to with the socal rx7 club when i lived in san diego

 

WOW, albany is kinda far dude for a meet. Well my crew NYC RR is trying to get the rotary community in NY together. Most people in nyc take care of there bizz and dont have time to get together so im trying my best with my fellow rotary heads to bring us all together.

We are going to hold more rotary meets this summer and ure more than welcome to come thru.

If you have any suggestions from ure socal meets let us know, were winging this and learning as we go along.

Here's the attendance roster so far. If you don't see your name, then you better do a post to let us know that you are coming. Please be realistic if you are coming and stick to your word. We all know that things are happening that weekend and its mother's day and all but we are all making this meet happen regardless. Bear in mind that you can always take mom out on Saturday and make the meet on Sunday. I am sure that mom will forgive you but the RX on the other hand might not as it will not get to hang with the other RX's and that could lead to a flooded engine or even worse, not starting at all... lol

Okay, here's the deal on food, everyone needs to bring something as we have a list, i am not gonna be nobody's third grade teacher and assign who is gonna bring what as we are all grown adults. I am going to post what is already furnished and what needs to be furnished. For all of those individuals that indicated that they are coming and want to know what to bring, well pick something off the list that your funds will get and do a post indicating that is what you are bringing so we can move on with the list. if you don't see a name next to an item, then that is what you can bring. Most importantly, dont say that you are bringing something to contribute and everyone was looking forward to it and "u forgot", i will send your *** to the nearest bodega to find it.

Hey Ramello i saw this post here in this NE forum this is the date i saw Rotary Meet (Lake George Village) - June 10th & 11th check with this guy i think he posted it .kaot1k maybe this would work for you i hope i could have my car running tip top by then cause i wouldn't mind driving up there i stayed in Diamond Point NY & Bolton Landing by Lake George it's a nice area. If i decide to go maybe i can get a few guys from here & we can meet i've been dying for this rotary thing to hit big in NYC tired of it always being in Cali lol

 

Baby?! I hope you're talking about my car, lol. Everything's good over here, the project's starting to come together. Finished with school soon, gonna be working, gonna be making some money that I can throw her way, lol.
