So im looking at either 111th street to meet up.
Coming From Westchester/Bronx or Jersey Direction Find your way to Grand Central Parkway Exit 10 towards Queens Midtown Tunnel then you make your first right and thats 111th street.
If your coming from Long Island take LIE to Grand Central, Cross Island Expressway to Grand Central and get out same exit towards Midtown Tunnel
OR Stay on LIE get out at exit 22A and follow Sautell Street which turns into 111th Street
Ill post pics and more info. Ima go later today, have mad stuff to do since i got back from vacation.
I still gotta fix my cars wiring and do my exhaust ttyl

Yeah i couldnt go today to flushing meadows. But well def meet on the outside of the park first to ensure that we all dont get lost going inside the park.
Plus it will look cool a long line of 7's rolling deep to the park lol
Hope to see everyone there.

it does suck that both are held on the same day but like you said there will be other meets and everyone will mingle at one event or another and if we hadnt set this up for the same day i would definetely come to your place. Well i hope everyone has a good time whereever they meet go sunday.

June 4th Meet
Hey Everyone,
We did not mean no harm by the post indicating that it was "grimey" to have function 7 post their meet on the same day that we are hosting our meet. I understand the aspect of running a business and it would have been more professional to have advance notice on a grand opening. The more earlier you can provide a date for a grand opening, the more larger of a turnout you are going to get. So to have the june 4th date set as business owners and not tell the rotor community about it is a big downfall. Please understand that you posted your grand opening like 1 week after we posted our meet. There is no way that you are going to get a good turnout for an event the same say as ours with such short notice.
Take rotorfest for example, look how long ago that thread was started and is still rolling. The more advance notice you can give, will be better for everyone as we all have things to do and places to go. Alot of us have to know in advance so that we can all plan ourselves out. Not all of us can just go out on when we wan to...
Please dont take what I said offensively as i am just indicating how situations like these could be better handeled in future reference. I do thank you for coming out to our Valley Stream meet and handing out flyers and introducing yourself, as that was professional. I did get a flyer and did not get a chance to talk to you as I was caught up with the activities that the crew were doing.
On a seperate note, I can see that so far there will be alot of individuals coming to the Flushing Meadows Park meet.
The last meet that we held, we went out of pocket with food and so forth and did not want no money from anyone. I do thank JASON for buying the last minute necessities, JIMMY for buying the charcoal at the end and the frisbee, DAVE for bringing the snacks and beer, TOMMY for bringing the burgers and chicken, I myself bought a ton of items also.
We do not want no money from anyone attending the meet as we are all brothers and sisters in the rotary community. All that I ask is that if you are coming to the Flushing meet, please bring something that we can all share so that the expenses are less on each individual. If you are going to bring something, just post a response of what you are bringing thats all.
Thanks Everyone for making time to attending the meet and making this happen.
Regards,
- Anil Singh

But after discussing this with the fellow members only two people were interested in going out to Bohemia. So far about 25+ people will be attending this meet and MAJORITY rules.
So i apologize for jumping the gun.
And my bad about the address im just trying to find a good location that will be easily accessible for everyone coming whose not familiar with the area. 111th street looks good becuase its a very big street adjacent to the LIE and GCP. But i will try my hardest to go tonight.

Whoever wants to check out the shop still can, with the times it's easy to do both and the drive to long island is really nice. I am going to try to get to the shop in the AM (I think it starts at 10am) and hang out there for a while and then head down the Flushing meadow park for the other meet around 1-2pm. The distance is only about 30-40min with no traffic. Should be relatively easy making both.

Hey this is the same reason why there was such a discrepency last time about the May 14th meet. Im not going to say anything about this meet. So until Sunday the Meet is still on.
Once we get to Sunday and if its raining cats and dogs then well see where we take it from there.
But as of now the meet is still on for June 4th at FLushing Meadows Park at Noon.
We will not be going to the park on the LIE/GCP side as that side is usually full, we will enter the park on the Van Wyck Expressway side since that side will be mostly empty and we wont be bothered by other people/authorities.
I tried to make it easier for anyone coming on the LIE by meeting up on 111th Street ( IN CORONA), but it will be too much of a detour to get on the Van Wyck Side so i suggest that we meet on the Astoria BLVD and 111th street (EAST ELMHURST). This has entrances for either GCP or Whitestone Expressway which takes you on the Van Wyck Expressway.
DIRECTIONS:
Long Island , South Queens ,Coming West on Grand Central Parkway
-->To get to astoria blvd you can take GCP to Northern Blvd heading west (towards Manhattan).
HINT: As your driving towards Queens/Manhattan Direction GCP will split into two sides. There will be two lanes on the left and right side of the divider. To exit on Northern Blvd stay on the two left lanes. Once you get onto Northern Blvd, you will make a right on 111th Street. You will be coming perpendicular to where we will be since we are going to on ASTORIA. So if you want to be with us go a lil further down to 108th Street and make a right. Then make another right on astoria driving towards 111th Street. You will see us there waiting on ASTORIA BLVD and the corner of 111th Street.
If your coming from LIE, just get off at exit 22A i beleive for 108th Street/ GCP, stay on the right and you will see a sign getting you on GCP and follow the directions listed above to get to 111th Street and Astoria Blvd.
Coming from Bronx/Upper Manhattan/Triboro Bridge
Triboro bridge will leave you directly on the GCP, you have two choices.
After you pass the exit for BQE, the next exit after you go under the BQE underpass will leave you on ASTORIA BLVD. YOu can take Astoria BLvd from 79th street where you get off to 111th street going local.
OR you can take GCP to exit 8, which will leave you on Ditmars. YOu can make a left on ditmarsand that will lead you into astoria blvd and 111th Street. Now the only prob is that you will be ahead of us getting ready to jump on the highway so i suggest going the local route of astoria Blvd, this way you wont pass us and be forced to take the highway
SUPER DUPER OTHER OPTION, just in case you miss the Astoria Exit you can get out on 94th Street (exit leading towards LGA airport) . If you do this this wil also lead you onto ditmars avenue, then you make a right on 94th street. Follow 94th street till you hit astoria blvd then make a left and meet us on 111th street.
From JERSEY:
If you come from Northern Jersey follow Triboro but if you from central or south jerzeee hit up the queens borough bridge, this will leave you on NORTHERN BLVD, follow norther till you hit 108th street. THen you make a left on 108th street and continue south till you hit Astoria. ONce you hit astoria you make a right and were there.
NO ONE TELL ME YOUR FRIGGIN LOST, cuase we have MAPQUEST, Microsoft Streets and Trips and i gave ya a pretty good idea of where the spot is. So please find your way to the areas i posted and if ya need local guidence there it goes.
ITs not hard to get around here, just follow numbers and streets. Key streets are 94th Street, Astoria Blvd, Northern Blvd and Ditmars. But like i said if you need help ill be more than happy to help.
We will meet up at 11:15am-11:40am at this location we will wait as long as we know your coming and are close enough, then we will depart.
I hope eveyrone gets tehre on time so we can all go in together and dont have to stay on the phone waisting our anytime minutes helping each individual to the location iight.
Thanks and hope to see ya there

June 4th Meet
Hey Everyone,
The weather is going to be nice for the day so we are NOT going to re-scheudle this meet.
If you and your car are gonna melt if water touches it then you are on your own. Our Valley Stream meet was cancelled the first time because of everyone bitching and complaining about the weather and it was a nice day on Sunday when we actually held the meet. So from this point on NO MORE WEATHER COMPLAINTS.
Jo Jason, I don't think that you will get pulled over by police, and if you have the proof of payment they should not even give you a hard time for anything because you did what you had to do already, DMV is to blame.
I am bringing my wife and my daughter... and picking up Trini cause his Rex is undergoing a turbo/paint job. His joint is gonna be tight for Rotorfest, but in the mean time we can't forget about him cause he dont have his rex.
Yo tommy if you are reading this, I already got da grill (nothing too big) and i bought utensils and everything dawg, no more flipping burgers with your hand... I got this huge bag of charcoal so we should not go begging other people for charcoal like last time.
I am bringing, dogs, chicken, and burgers, and maybe some chops, if anyone else is contributing to this, please let us know....
Regards,
- Anil (88 Vert)
