NJ RX-7 Mechanics

Ahoy,

I'm a new FD owner, and I currently have an issue or two with my transmission.

My local Mazda dealer has awful service, so before I try to tackle the project myself or take it to another shop, I'm wondering if anyone knows a good RX-7 mechanic in the central Jersey area.

I've heard of a RX-7 Heaven in Elizabeth and one or two others further north, but does anyone know of any '7 specialists in central NJ?

I figure that it'd be a good idea to find one before any major problems arise.

Thanks.

Whoops.

Just noticed the massive sticky at the top of the forum. Anyone have a central NJ mechanic to recommend? Otherwise I'll just shop around.

Thanks again.

I don't know how far you are from Blackwood NJ (S. NJ), but JPR imports is a great shop (www.jprimports.com).

JPR is an excellent shop. Worth the drive I like to go there just to drool over the cars parked out front, especially when i get to catch a glimpse of Jim's silver drag FD...

JPR is definitely the shop to go ... very straight forward, honest, and knowledgeable.
