well linking to mcmaster carr sucks, so ill just err do it this way

just type "ss sched 40" in the search thing, and choose the one with pipe fittings

go to elbows, then female 90's, kind of in the middle there's pipe size, choose 2" (which is something like 2.3" od 2.13xx id or something)

down at the bottem you will see the prices for 2" and 3" radius 304 and 316 bends

2" Height (A)
304/304L Stainless Steel 45605K214 $49.29
316/316L Stainless Steel 45555K214 71.11
3" Height (A)
304/304L Stainless Steel 45605K516 $13.24
316/316L Stainless Steel 45555K516 16.34

you can try just searching for the part number, but it comes up diff and you no longer can go back and choose other sizes for example

and yeah i saw the flanges on atpturbo.com. its 60 for the 1 vband ring and clamp for the compressor side alone! im gona check my diesel shop across town once it comes in to see it i can get it cheaper, also check what they have for 4 and 5" exhaust lol

willub and company 03-04-08 09:07 PM

Hurray. Reading some of the engine building section of nopistons.com is probably a good idea, theres some threads here about porting aswell, but i reccomend the ones on nopistons.com more

all you need is a dremel, some carbide cutting bits (homedepot has them, as groute removal grinders) a templet or an idea of what you want to do, and some time

ummmmm.. come again?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

maybe i got the wrong spec of 42r but on the website in the dimensions it shows like only 3.6 inch ID and 4 inch OD

http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/3217/garrettso6.png

5 inch is insane though, are you going to make your own mani? how far forward are you going to mount it?

foreignracer 03-05-08 10:14 AM

I went to look at a 88 GXL for sale yesterday by the original owner. He had meticulous maintenace records! I offered him something low due to the car needing some things but he said he had someone else coming to look at it over the weekend. Hopefully :fingerscrossed: he will call back saying he will take the offer. I would say it does not look good though.

http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=GRT

i have the 1.01 t6 turbine housing comming

yeah im going to make my own mani, im going to mock it all up and tack it, and probably have a friend either help or just weld it all together,

going to only mount it as far forward as i have too, was planning on vmounting at the same time but im beginning to worry about space for the 5" compressor inlet and plumbing to whatever filter i use, and then 3" IC piping that all has to be very close to one another

Would that car happen to be the light blueish color that FC's came in, and is it in manchester?

No, its red. Is there another one for sale?

Edit: I just saw it on Craigs. I might get divorced if I put another non-running car in the driveway. She does not understand fixer-uppers. It might be something simple.

Did you call about it?

willub and company 03-05-08 04:33 PM

that would explain it. i think on garrett's website they do the measurements on a smaller housing.

check out the size of this turbo.. https://www.rx7club.com/20b-forum-95/gotham-gt55-91r-20b-pictures-723652/

i thought that the 42r was huge but when i saw this i almost shit myself.

CrackHeadMel 03-05-08 04:43 PM

yeah its prob the t4 flanged housings, lil bit smaller

lol yeah thats huge, wtf is a gt5591 though? i see no listings on garrett's website

willub and company 03-08-08 08:03 PM

who knows what it is, it's insane!

Crack......here is a link to what appears to be a decent shell if you need something to swap you drivetrain into after the carport collapse:

i have 3foot snowbanks in my driveway, at the end of my driveway is about 5 feet, the way the plow this road the other side gets more. friend of mine who lives up the street on the other side has really, not joking 6-6.5feet of snow at the edge of his drivway all pushed up, its considerably taller than me

willub and company 03-10-08 10:04 PM

hahahaha, sounds like fun to clear out. ask andy for fenders, he has some black ones on his parts car. i don't remember what you said but approximately when will the DP/MP be out of the car?
