Okay rant time. WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH MANCHESTER ROADS?! Holy shit on a shingle man! I daily drive a HYUNDAI ELANTRA, it feels like im driving a fucking marshmallow. You'd think a soft suspension could absorb the endless onslaught the manchester roads throw at me, but it feels like my car is going to fall apart on some of the shitty parts of the roads, and when i mean shitty parts i mean HOLES, not manhole covers, HOLES IN THE FUCKING ROAD! I could stand in these holes and lose a good 5 inches off of my height, it's ridiculous! It's pathetic, i live in east bumfuck Candia, for most people it is east bumfuck, and you'd think the cows and horses and whatever 4 legged creature would fuck the roads up, or the amish people riding around, who knows, but the roads feel like they laid out the red carpet just for me, compared to Manchester! Manchester, you get a :score: for being a douchebag, i hate you.

CrackHeadMel 02-28-08 10:01 PM

Out near Keene the frost heaves are so big you have to down shift to drive up over them and use the brakes going down the other side.

SleepeR1st 03-01-08 03:49 PM

Wat is a frost heave? I've seen the signs every single year, but they just don't seem to have anything in common except for the fact that they are in some random spot. :Wconfused :Wconfused

Andy87t2 03-01-08 10:25 PM

haha, yeah, the roads down around the mass/nh border are terriiiibllle right now, i'm just south of keene.

grade247 03-02-08 01:50 AM

SleepeR1st 03-02-08 08:57 AM

the signs mean nothing most of the time, they just put them where they were last year not where they could be this year lol. a frost heave is the rapid expansion of freezing water under the pavement that literally pushes the pavement upwards causing a bump in the road, usually what causes cracks in the road.

SleepeR1st 03-02-08 01:22 PM

Oooooh...well what the fuck?

The signs really dont line up at all :rlaugh:

willub and company 03-02-08 02:05 PM

i know, it's the stupidest system ever.

Is this for an FC or FD? I need to upgrade stock.

grade247 03-02-08 06:37 PM

it is for a FC and is MUCH larger over stock TMIC

OtakuRX 03-03-08 07:25 AM

ya I know how bad they are getting, there are roads in the state that I don't think a car could get down being how it tosses around my mom's jeep which I have borrowed for a bit. I'm ready for spring.

grade247 03-03-08 10:07 AM

ok I got another one for everyone. I have been thinking and thinking on this latly and kinda want to do a rebuild and port on my engine before I drop it in. is there anyone around that could help me out with this at all I was leaning towards doing a full bridgeport and yes I know not very reliable but I won't be driving it ALL the time and a bridge would be fun.

SleepeR1st 03-03-08 10:09 PM

Max, TEZTnTUNE can do porting. I think he's still in business, does great work. Message me tomorrow on AIM if you want his number.

willub and company 03-04-08 03:42 PM

i would do a search in the second gen parts section Tim, i saw a couple threads recently for brand new half bridge irons for like 300 shipped.

CrackHeadMel 03-04-08 04:48 PM

do the porting your self! i did the irons that dom_c ran,

im going to do my cosmo irons once the weather stops hating me and i can pull my engine along with some other stuff :D

willub and company 03-04-08 05:28 PM

did you get your new turbo yet?

CrackHeadMel 03-04-08 07:53 PM

Not yet, it will ship this weekend (cars at home, guys at school etc) i paid in full though

i started to price clamps, flanges etc, piece of 304ss to make the flanges is gona cost me 83 alone :( atleast mc master carr's ss sched 40 bends are wayy cheaper than expected, like less than 20 each

willub and company 03-04-08 08:14 PM

oh wow, link them please. have you checked ATPturbo.com? that is where i'm going to get flanges for my new exhaust.

grade247 03-04-08 08:33 PM

I would do them myself but for one I don't have the template and don't trust myself enough to just go and do it I would like to see how it is done and then can learn

SleepeR1st 03-04-08 08:36 PM

Im telling you man go see Max, i'll call him for you if you want. He does everything rotary related, 50$ an hour to, cheap. He'll hook you up with a sweet port! :icon_tup:
