Sure.....Happy early B-day. I have been working on it the past couple of days and found a Vacuum leak. This could be my entire problem. Give me a call since Tueday I have to run down towards Salem. I should be back by then no problem.

foreignracer 09-22-07 12:33 PM

Again, that was not the problem. I am thinking a 1 pound block of C4 would fix the problem!

TEZTnTUNE 09-22-07 12:39 PM

1 pound block is a lot of kin power. i used to be a demolitions and explosives specialist in the army.

I know, I am hoping for very small fragments! I was a munitions specialist in the AF.

Hey I was wondering anyone know who owns the green FB that is prked at a garage on old turnpike road in concord? I have seen it there for a few days I work right down the road from where it is parked.

Anyone have a turbo II tranny that they are willing to sell because I am doing a turbo swap, coilovers, a new exhaust, and I am getting a kickass front end for the FC ! NO MORE FLIP UPS lol get back to me one this.

Anyone willing to go for a short drive maybe next weekend before the season is over and I end up putting my car away for the "overhaul" lol

I have one. Came from a T2 in japan. Just been sitting in my shop for about 4 years. I was going to put it in my N/A but I don't have the money or the time to get everything else that is needed. I paid $400 for it shipped. Tranny was $300. I believe it has about 75,000 miles on it from what I remember and the guy I got it from told me that everything is in good condition inside. It does not have the Reverse/5th gear switch. You will have to get one of those.

Is your car a S5? What front end parts are you replacing? If its the bumper/fenders and hood. If they are in good condition. I'll Trade :)

If anyone needs a bit of help getting their n/a's running. Let me know.

CrackHeadMel 09-24-07 07:08 PM

any idea on how good of shape the tranny's in aside from milage?

RotaMan99 09-24-07 07:15 PM

Not really. Only from word of mouth by a company that deals with rotary engines. I forget, its a company that we know and suggest to others. Not some shmo trying to make money. The guy said the synchros are fine and so are the gears.

The outside looks fine. It needs a new tranny pan gasket because I opened it up when I got it from some reason.

CrackHeadMel 09-24-07 08:35 PM

can you see the scyncro's in with the pan removed? are they sharp? pics!

RotaMan99 09-25-07 09:20 AM

I'll see if I can get pics. I don't even know what the syncros look like :(

grade247 09-25-07 12:31 PM

front end

All I am getting rid of in the front end is the stock front bumper the flip up lights because I am getting a new front piece with projector lights. that tranny sounds pretty sweet I am going to need one for the TII swap.

grade247 09-25-07 12:40 PM

Oh I have another question. ok here is how it goes when I got the car the right headlight motor was putting a drain on my battery so I disconnected it and swapped the battery the thing is now my radio does not work and my door adjar light stays on? I was thinking a bad ground or blow fuse on the radio anyone got any clues?

RotaMan99 09-25-07 12:50 PM

^ That would be a question to ask HAILERS in the tech section. PM him.

grade247 09-25-07 10:36 PM

thanks rotaman. Hey is there going to be another meet anytime soon in the future for the NH 7's???

RotaMan99 09-26-07 06:04 AM

Not one that I will be attending. I work to much. I need to take a day off just to work on my car. I have a bunch of repairs to do but I don't have time to do any of them.

foreignracer 09-26-07 10:04 AM

Alright.........we have a resource to go to as crack already knows. Max (TETZnTUNE) came over last night to check out my car issues. Awesome guy and he knows his shit! He is extremely knowledgable when it comes to fuel and engine management systems.

Well, we found out using the stock ECU, that I indeed had a map sensor issue. This just proves to buy NEW parts instead of used.

Thanks Max!

RotaMan99 09-26-07 10:27 AM

Ya I saw max do his stuff when he was working at a company in hookset I believe it was. Awsome guy. Friendly and he really does know his stuff.

TEZTnTUNE 09-26-07 11:21 AM

thanx foriegn it was fun. i had a blast hopefully i can shake the ring rust off and get back into the swing of things. let me know when the map sensor comes in and we can get that powerFC tuned.

What are your symptoms? Just start? Any smoke? Need more details?

TEZTnTUNE 09-26-07 07:55 PM

yea man spill the beans. any check engine lights? stalling? surging at idle?

SleepeR1st 09-26-07 09:02 PM

Umm the car idles at about 1500 when warm, then after a short drive settles down around 1100-1200. I've tried adjusting the fast idle screw a little but it did nothing, i dont really feel inclined to ruin my car that seems to run okay. I would still like the insurance of knowing that everything is in pretty good condition.
