I saw a white unmarked statie the other day. It was at a detail on the side of the road. I was like huh whats that mustang doing there and when I drove in front of it I saw the blue lights.
It feels like it's not safe to speed anymore but it doesn't stop me ^_^
(I have a hour and 10 min commute so it's hard for me not to some days)

It just goes to show you how much money they make picking up speeders. That's really the only explicable reason for undercovers and especially undercover brand new factory hot rods.

A buddy of mine was saying that the anne arundel or columbia po-pos had a "hooked up" honda civic hatch that would try to race people on 32. He was one for stories though so i can't say for sure.

Oh and Word is that it will be covering Route 7, Route 28, Fairfax County Parkway, Toll Road, I-495, beltway. Of Course whatever the sheriff feels like that day he wants to crack down some bad boys. So heads up fellas, watch your speed around any black Z.

I LOVE VA COPS, THEY ARE SO COOL AND CLEVER."

Its a 2007, so its unlikely that it was seized. I did however see pictures of an E36 325i convertible that was seized and now used as a FFX county cop car (not unmarked), plates even say "SEIZED"
Not to say anything against your word, but unless I see some markings, an antenna, or some lights, I'm skeptical of that guy's claim.

Oh wait...on second thought, I THINK I can see a mini thick antenna that cops sometimes use on the right side of the trunk, toward the center line...or is that just my eyes? Def. can't make out any lights though...

Isn't that entrapment?

We're obviously affording them to big a budget.

And how many of us can afford a lawyer to argue that? He's not making you chase him if he revs on you or does a ricer flyby rinse, wash, repeat.

Dirty? By far. Illegal? how good is your lawyer?

Exclamation

Yes, Cops are not allowed to initiate or intimidate you to race them, since that is entrapment and not to mention reckless/improper driving...one illegal way for all of us to protect/identify these undercover vehicles is by the means of a radar locator/detector, i know i use Valentine1 and it works great!!!

Also i do beleive that the new Chargers are the new replacement for the old Crown Vic's as they are starting to fall apart and cause issues...

Washington state bought a fleet of Subaru Legacy GT's 50 if im not mistaken saying that they are reliable and are more practical in the cold/snow weather conditions...

Nevada has 3 Lamborghini Galardo models for special occasions that were donated by some rich guy!!!

Alot of the personal looking cars are detective vehicles and drug bust vehicles that you see on the road, they are not personal as the Police Dept, does not cover them in case of accident/vandalism and etc...

Just an FYI!!!

Here's the lights, very sneeky:

Again I don't know if its legit or not, it was getting serviced when the pics were taken so it may just not be fully equipped yet.

They brought up some interesting points on another thread about the whole entrapment argument. Basically, how could you prove in court that a cop was instigating a race? It would be your word against a police officer's word; better have a good lawyer.

Then there's the issue of an unusual car with no markings or idenification trying to pull you over, there's no way to tell if isn't just someone who just put blue and red lights on their car (especially dangerous for women). Would you really feel safe pulling over after dark in the middle of nowhere for an unidentified vehicle?

These tactics really create an "Us against Them" scenario between law enforcement and the general public, which just doesn't seem right.

I can understand the use of an undercover car to shadow a criminal they're waiting to take down. I can understand a detective using an undercover car during an investigation. That's where my understanding ends.

Using undercover cars to serve tickets to John Q Public is dirty. It really does foster an environment of us vs them; that we could be being watched at anytime. That any vehicle could be waiting for us to do something illegal. I don't like that. I also don't like that police have forgotten that it is their job to help or "serve" people. This thought has gone straight out the window. Stories like this still make me angry.

that story if pretty damn rediculous... It seems like recently you cant depend on things put there to help you(( http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/...n2923545.shtml )) i think PWC and FFX cops are on power trips... on june 1st RE_matsuda and i wer drivng from one car meet to another when half way there his car broke down we got passed by at least 4 or 5 cops and only one stopped just because he was almost in the middle of the street. its pretty bad when you break down and no cop stops to check if your ok or to help but if you speed the cop is the first car on your bumper.

Yeah VA cops are bad.

Keep an eye out for a 99-04 burgundy mustang, rims, a-pillar pods, and custom plates "corral" 66W centreville area - state police

I got pulled over in my daily driver... story as follows.

I was crusing down 66 minding my own business, not even in the fast lane. This mustang comes flying up in the lane beside me just as I was about to change lanes. So I hesitate, then get behind him. Once we got around a few cars, I changed lanes then gave it some gas to get around him. After he sees me giving it gas, he waits till I am in front of him then flys by. So I drop it a couple of gears and get back in front of him.

At this point he turns on some strobe lights. I didn't know what the hell was going on because they wernt blue. He then pulls up beside me and flashes a badge. I pull over, he shows me all kind of credentials, then proceeds to lecture me. I do remember him saying "that car is pushing 500hp, do you really think your car could take it."

Talking

Chris,

What was the resolution, did he give you a ticket, or just a lecture...as some of these guys have their own cars and wire them up with strobe lights, and since they are cops they think they can mess with you just for fun when they are off duty...cough...PIGS!!!

Undercover cars in NC...I passed a white SUV yesterday, only after he passed back by me did i see the uniform and notice the SHP - 202 tag on it...

Johnson City, TN has 2 or 3 unmarked mustang cop cars, gold and white are two colors I know of.

As for the deep south having unmarked F-bodies trying to get races, I've not seen any in my area, all our F-bodies marked. of course, we do have the new chargers, some marked, some unmarked...and i've heard of an unmarked dodge stratus or avenger around mars hill area, on I-26 between Asheville and TN

um... i think you're missing the obvious here man the red light burst in the first picture and blue in the second are from the police lights mounted at the tops of the windows. its not the sun making some weird photo effect.

alright guys, I saw something last night on the way back from the dulles town center meet in sterling that was really rediculous. RE_Matsuda was following behind me when I see a jeep grand cherokee on the side of the road with its hood up. As we drive closer I notice a guy leaning over the inside fender not on the traffic side I thought he broke down or something. We pass by and i look back and its a fairfax cop shooting radar standing outside under the hood so you can see him till you pass him....its gettin pretty damn bad.

they obviously arent hurting for cash considering how many new unmarked cars have been popping up
